This is a joke of a bank Got off the cruise ship and tried to exchange money for Canada eh. Said I need a account before any transactions. So I spent the next 45 minutes of my vacation having fun, setting up a account and deposited cash getting my ATM card with photo only to close the account 1 minute after to have my monies replaced with Canadian money.
I have a mortgage with them. Have been trying to get in contact for over two weeks. Left multiple messages, placed call back request online. Nothing. Tried branch multiple times today and got a busy signal. A busy signal at a bank? Trying 800 number and am at 16 mins on hold so far. This is ridiculous. Yes it's COVID, but how can I not talk to a human? Would not recommend.
I got scammed $387.27 and they closed my bank account and treated me like a criminal when I am a victim don't deal with bank of Montreal they only care about politics and money that comes with their corporation they don't care about people at all only politics and money thank God I found a more honest and better financial institution
Super long lines and only one or two tellers who are taking their time just chatting about sports etc with people. No sense of urgency at all especially when you have a line out the door. Makes no sense
on hold now 1 hr 40 mins only to be put back on hold after speaking with someone for 5 mins this is insane!!!
Opening account in BMO is my biggest mistake, this bank services are so poor, they don't increase your limit if u want to make something purchase even from your own money, phone representatives are worst they put your call on hold for upto 30 minutes and it take there app ages to show transactions in history. Don't go for this bank if your are living in 21st century.
Best bank to deal with awesome tellers and customer service
Transfer everything here... you won't be disappointed
