Took an appointment for Saturday to open a personal and a corporate account as I just moved to Montreal. The personal account agent made major mistakes with my name so we had to repeat the process all over then the person in charge of opening my corporate decided that he is busy and didn’t want to see me although we had an appointment and pushed me to Tuesday. The bank was empty, there was no reason to push my appointment…it was obvious they were just playing as they were very young. Time to find another bank with more serious and professional employees.
As a newcomer with a burner phone I've had to go in person at the bank. The person at the desk is extremely skilled, she was able to open the full account within 20 minutes including all my questions.
The service is okay, but i always have to wait a long time 30 minutes on average to be served by a teller. This is true even at odd hours.
This branch has the most incompetent people in the entire banking system. I have been waiting for over 3 months to get my cheque because of this BMO branch mistake. After many follow ups over the phone and email to get the account manager to fix the issue, she actually stopped returning my calls and emails, so I showed up at the bank and she told me that upon my return from vacation that I will get my cheque and not to worry. Three weeks went by and I went to the branch today and got only excuses as to why it wasn’t ready. Branch manager should go under review, Lorena something as well as her employee Hiba. I definitely won’t renew my mortgage with them. Glad to have an account with RBC across the street and didn’t move to BMO for daily banking needs. I’m sure someone from BMO will read this review and ask me to contact them, I won’t ask I escalated to the senior manager and in 24/48hrs I don’t hear back it s to the ombudsman, then to the government to file a complaint with legal representation.
This branch needs to find a way to expedite quick banking needs non ATM needs. I always find myself standing and waiting long because the 2 tellers deal with clients that have longer or more complex needs. I usually end up walking away, since I'm on break.
My favorite BMO branch so far, the newly redesigned office is very spacious with high end renovations. I've been a client with BMO since 2018 and they never disappoint with an exceptional customer service. I've had an appointment with Hiba for my everyday banking needs, she answered all my inquiries and went over and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered. Always happy to go back!
Poor customer service, rude, lazy, they should definitely check employees service scores more often. Why is the branch score so low? There must be an issue, personal improvement plans and support should be offered to keep a standard.
I've been with BMO for almost 30 years and never received such poor service. No one returns emails or phone calls ever. It's a joke. Don't waste your time and energy especially if you are dealing with important matters like major home renovations.
I have been in the process to have my name removed from one mortgage. I notified them, sent all the notary documents, coordinated with the notary since the begining of the process last year in July and now we are 2022 Jan still not done! It has been really exhausting to deal with this branch. They either don't answer your email, or tell you they are still waiting for something else from the notary when you go visit the branch in person, or they have received all docs that my name will be removed from the mortgage in a few days, then no answer again for the entire week. Weeks go by, no progress, same execuses. If they are trying to make me transfer all my other mortgages and bank accounts and investment account out of BMO, they are doing a good job!
I was requesting six months statement and They asked me don’t you have a printer at home?they asked me to go to staples print myself .great attitude . Just switched to RBC across the street on Willington RBC had much better service
