A great option for fine dining in the country. We were there wore thanksgiving as a three generation family. Our table loved the rabbit gnocchi. The grouper was also a hit. Would definitely be back.
As always Bluemen provides a wonderful experience start to finish. With a small but tasty and well executed menu, the food is superb. Beautiful outdoor garden seating areas are just another perk. Very lucky to have such a great place in Picton. Ordered the lamb, ribeye, mains and duck meatball and chickpea fries for appetizers. All were great!
Had dinner there last night as a group of 4. What a great place to eat. First, their service was excellent our server friendly, attentive, and very lovely. Cocktails fantastic. The wine selection was small but very lovely local and other wines. We had of course the Chickpea fries, what am I telling you, amazing. They are that good that we ordered two orders. We also had the pork belly -Tuna, and Crab cakes. All excellent. As a main, we had the steak, the lamb, and the vegetarian dish and I would rank it as excellent and very enjoyable. Desert creme brûlée and Strawberry Rhubarb cake. Again, excellent and tasty. So overall, a wonderful dining experience, very friendly staff, lovely environment and all of that for a reasonable price. We all highly recommend Blumen.
From making the reservations to the meal itself the experience at Blumen's was fantastic. Our first anniversary was made perfect by the fantastic meal at Blumen's. All items on the menu made our mouth water and sounded delicious, it made for a very difficult choice on selecting what to have. Staff were extremely helpful in selecting beverages, and giving insight to meal selections. The venue itself was intimate and cozy, we were seated on the back deck which was a very cozy spot to enjoy the meal. Starters for the evening included tartare and stuffed squid. After hemming about the mains we settled on the lamb and duck, and we were not disappointed at all. Each bite was full of rich flavours that we attempted to savour for as long as we could. Finishing the meal was the creme brule which was the perfect end to the evening. Reasonably priced for an excellent meal, it made perfect sense as well to get a round for the kitchen, great option on the menu!. Overall a restaurant we will be returning to again.

This was my favourite place in Picton! The service was outstanding and the food was out of this world. The price was really reasonable considering the food quality and the presentation. My husband and I shared every appetizer on the menu as a main meal ! We had our server pair a few wines from PEC. The whole experience was mesmerizing.
This was easily one of the best meals of my life! Went up there for a day trip and stopped at this quaint place based on a recommendation. The staff are absolutely lovely and the service was fantastic. I had the Signature pulled braised rabbit over house-made gnocchi with leeks, oyster mushrooms & lardons, topped with reggiano and my girlfriend had the Roasted lamb sirloin with a blue cheese crust, crispy polenta coins, ratattouille, green beans, rosemary red wine jus. Both delicious favourites!
The food was fantastic, compliments to the chef! I ordered a special not typically on the menu, pork tenderloin cooked per chef's recommendation with green beans, spaetzele with a buttery bourginion, and kholrabi coleslaw. Everything was excellent. Booking here can be difficult, it seems to be a very popular spot so give yourself time to get a spot and book a few days in advance.
This restaurant is one of the best in town but in through there are many, great service, amazing food, and they are always willing to welcome a larger group. Definitely consider this a must visit location.
The food is excellent. I had the tartare as a starter and it was the best I’ve ever had. I had the duck as entree and it was well seasoned, well paired in terms of vegetables, and the sauce was divine. The only downside was the service: when we arrived, despite having made reservation over a week in advance we were told our table wasn’t ready because we were early we were in fact 3 minutes late, and then the waiter, despite being very friendly, was slow and forgot my wine order despite not being very busy at all. So go for the food, but gather your patience for the service.
