Bluebird Group Daycare Centre

Like a Family, the owners and staff of Bluebird Daycare really care. They engage with each child and manage to get the kids outside a lot and teach them valuable life lessons! They are helpful, flexible and supportive. Our youngest is in these photos with Lynn from downstairs, and our older son is now in the upstairs space with the Pre-School group!

Bluebird Daycare Centre is a wonderful place that makes you feel like family. As a first time mama who had to go back to work after 12 weeks I was very nervous about leaving my 3 month old daughter with anyone. Bluebird exceeded my expectations and provided amazing one-on-one care to my baby girl. She smiled every time we dropped her off. Jamileh was fantastic with our little one, and always kept her very clean. What other day care has that ratio 1:1 to ensure utmost safety and care? We saw our girl grow immensely through her time there. The staff is excellent and accommodating with hectic work schedules. I will truly miss them and recommend Bluebird to all families with little ones- 10/10!

Our son has been going here for over a year and we couldn’t be happier. Our second son will be joining his brother there in the fall! They are so good with our kids, and they have an amazing set up!! We feel very fortunate to have our kids go to Bluebird!

Our son has been at this daycare since he was 10 months old and we wouldn't want him to be anywhere else; I would recommend Bluebird to any parent that wants their child to develop social, cognitive and physical skills in a safe and nurturing environment. Puran and her team are adored by the children and their parents and genuinely care for each child under their care. They routinely report stories and anecdotes about which children have special bonds with one another, which songs are their favourites, how their eating skills are coming along, etc. They are genuinely invested in the development, happiness and health of the children. We looked at several facilities before selecting Bluebird and continue to feel that we made the very best choice for our son, and our family.

From the daddy- Bluebird Daycare is a home away from home for our son! We looked at many daycare options and after visiting at least a dozen on the north shore and near our work, we went back to the first one we visited which was Bluebird. Our son has been in now for over 7 months and loves it. Puran has assembled an amazing team and I would highly recommend Bluebird to any caring parents. Leaving a child in daycare especially for the first time can be and was very hard but knowing that he is so cared for by the Bluebird family is a special feeling. I would be happy to share our wonderful experience with anyone looking into day homes daycares Montessori schools etc on the north shore. We have met with many of the parents and have only heard great things about their experience. For somebody to make these claims is shocking but is ABSOLUTELY not a reflection of Bluebird. They are amazing people that not only we love but more importantly our son loves. I don’t want to dwell on the negative review but please understand that some children may not be suitable for such a loving and caring environment. Not to mention our sons grandmother has been in child and family care for over 30 years and has been so impressed with every aspect of Bluebirds operation! - JARED RAND • • • ***** Our son has been going to Bluebird Daycare for almost 8 months now. I'm one of those parents that researched every daycare on & off the North Shore and went to visit about 10 daycare's in North Vancouver and I can honestly say without a doubt that Bluebird was the best choice. This is our first son and I found the transition of going back to work and leaving him with someone really hard. Bluebird was amazing and understood what I was going through as a new mama. They are educated, kind, loving and most of all my husband & I trust them with our son. When we pick up our son a lot of the time he doesn't want to leave right away. He is such a happy kid there and has so much fun with Puran & all the staff. He has meet some really wonderful friends and I feel totally confident that Puran & the staff treat these children as their own. So if you are considering Bluebird simply talk to any of the parents that have their children there for longer than 5 days or whatever the parent who wrote this awful review had their child there for including me because in my option picking a daycare was our biggest decision as parents so far. - Amie Rand

Our daughter has been going to Bluebird Daycare since she was 10 months old and absolutely loves it! The owner and care workers are kind and loving with the children. Anytime I drop off or pick our daughter, I see the children having fun. Not sure where someone got the idea Bluebird are spanking the children, perhaps that's a problem in their own home. It is difficult leaving your child in daycare for the first time, but this has been an excellent experience for us. We highly recommend this daycare and I'm sure others will agree.

We enrolled our 14month old son at another daycare, because we thought a social setting would help him get comfortable around other people and be more social. He was extremely shy and would cry a lot near strangers. I gave him a few weeks to settle but clearly he was very unhappy there and in just 2 months, I was searching again for someone who would understand the situation and help my son get through that phase. I visited 3-4 daycares before coming to Bluebird. After I met Puran, I knew this was the place for him. She really listened to my concerns. She is great with kids; very patient, caring and disciplined at the same time and in the right way. I admire the way she has handled and looked after our son. He's been there for 2 yrs now and has never complained of not going to his daycare even once! My younger son has also joined Bluebird now and is very happy there. I highly recommend it.

There is a huge issue with access to quality daycare in Vancouver and its surrounding cities and municipalities. Sadly, many parents have limited options as to where they can place their children while feeling comfortable and happy in doing so. My husband and I consider ourselves unbelievably fortunate to have found a daycare facility that not only provides our child with quality care, but also provides him with access to a positive learning environment. One of the important factors in our hunt for a daycare was to find a facility with a team of individuals who are dedicated and trained to encourage the unique development of each child. Henry is not a number or a source of profit at Bluebird, he is a loved little boy. Every morning when I drop him off at the facility his face lights up as we approach the front door. He is growing and learning every day in a safe environment, and most importantly he is happy. Over an above the affects of the daycare on my child individually are the affects of the facility on my husband and me as parents. Not only is Henry encouraged, so are we as new parents. When consulted, Puran and her team have been extremely helpful in providing resources to address any challenges we have had, specifically pertaining to sleep. The amount of time and communication dedicated to families sets Bluebird apart from other facilities. Every parent has different priorities when looking for childcare, but for my family Bluebird Daycare Centre has been an amazing fit. I would encourage families looking for care to see if it is the right fit for them.

My daughter had been enrolled in Bluebird from age 3.5y. She was always willing to go there and we found her always happy at pick-up time. She began with no experience in English and rapidly developed her language skills, even including very basic writing and counting in English. All this during a single year. Bluebird provides a systematic approach to children's early development and education. This is a great advantage versus small family day care. My daughter is well prepared for kindergarten. A lunch is also not left to chance. The team encourage children to eat properly. We almost always left with an empty lunch box at the end of the day. I would like to suggest to spend more time outside. North Van weather is not always perfect, but this is what kids gonna do in school almost every day. Some of our neighbors and friends also attend Bluebird. We'd heard only good feedbacks. Puran and team, thank you so much for your hard work and warm heart.

Our daughter has been at Bluebird for some time now, and I am so glad I made the choice to enroll her here. We refer to all the caregivers as her "aunties" and she is always smiling when I come to pick her up at the end of my work day. Puran and her team are amazingly loving, generous people who evidently care an enormous amount about the children and their well being. I feel blessed to have such an amazing facility so close to my home and work.
