The Blue Star Restaurant in Welland is one of the areas most established and longest standing eateries in the area. With so many menu items to choose from and excellent quality food and service received on every visit, we would recommend you stop in and say hello to Johnny! They are best known for amazing breakfasts, cabbage rolls, and pies!
This place has been around since before I was born. Family owned and operated since opening. Portions have been downsized a bit and is presented in a bit more of a fancy way then they used to but the food hasn't changed and you still are full after a meal. Generally, a great place to get a nice and tasty, not to mention healthy, meal. One of my favorite places to eat!!!
I was very impressed with the customer service we had today. I hadn't been in to eat since before covid. I took my dad for lunch and it did not disappoint. Delicious cabbage rolls!!! My dad said his rueben sandwich was amazing. We had yummy coconut cream pie for dessert. Thank you for the nice experience and of coarse the great food.
Great Family Restaurant. If you're from Welland, chances are you have been here before. Their food is very well known in the Region as is their large take -out menu. Consisting of things like Broasted Chicken to Cabbage Rolls and Lasagna and different Salads too. They offer catering service or if you prefer, you can even rent out their restaurant. Awesome Place!!! As for me, I really love their Hot Beef sandwich along with mashed potatoes!!!
My wife and I have dinner there once a week. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic. I’m currently working my way through the menu and haven’t found anything I don’t like yet!! Try it out and you’ll be hooked!
Awesome food just excellent, we travel 25 km just to go to this restaurant. Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it's great.A real locals place to eat. Everything is extremely well priced, very friendly and casual atmosphere and the food is to die for. 100% highly recommended.Food: 5/5
Went for dinner. Nice place. I had lasagna and my husband the spaghetti. Portion size was good and the food was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Also got a dozen of their cabbage rolls to go and they are fantastic. All reasonably priced Parking: Lots of parking
I've enjoyed many wonderful dinners at the Blue Star Restaurant in Welland after some games of pickleball with my Welland Pickleball Club friends and partners. We had many a laugh while enjoying the food and drink at the Blue Star - thank you! <3
Absolutely the best diner bar none! Been going here for thirty years! Best food and spectacular service make this place a no brainer! Ordering takeout is excellent also! Kid-friendliness: Endless choices and colourful atmosphere for kids.
Really gone down hill especially when they have posted pictures of Justin Trudeau attending this place, Justin Trudeau is a liar and he's ruining this country. Back to the food, you are served half of what you use to receive, I had the reuben sandwich and French onion soup, the sandwich was really tiny very thin, and the soup lacked really any onions, also asking for crackers I was told outright NO, and the waitress walked away. We waited until halfway through our dinner to get any drinks at all not even water, the waitress said she was busy, but we could see her texting on her phone. Sorry no tip, and we will never return to the Blue Star Restaurant. Two Thumbs Down
