They often cannot verify if claims have been submited. Hard to get access to Customer Service Reps. Sent wrong ID card that was expired and did not notify us until a month after when we phoned to find why our claims were not being accepted Several medical professionals do not like deeling with Blue Cross

I'm so disappointed from this company! We needed a medical insurance for couple of months until we get our OHIP, so I registered for 2 months. In that period of time, my daughter got sick and I submitted a claim and they sent me the whole amount, so I though it's a good company! Then, after the 2 months ended, I was not sure how long it's gonna take us to get the UHIP but they mentioned that in there rules, we can get a refund of our insurance if we get the UHIP, based on that, I asked for an extension for another 2 months. They told me we will extend your contract but our only condition is that we will not cover the same case for your daughter if she gets sick again! Which was fever and chicken box! A very common symptoms for a kid! I said ok and we took the extension. After 3 days, we received our UHIP, so I called Blue Cross to cancel the contract and get the refund of the remaining period. At the beginning they told me ok we will get you your money, but after they found the old claim, they told me sorry we can't refund you! Their reason of is that I had a claim on my contract however, it was for the old one not the new one! If they were going to cover that disease in the new contract, I would understand why they won't refund me! But it was a new contract and it was excluding that disease! I talked more than one time with them and they refused to refund me! I'm so disappointed and I would never recommend them for anyone!

Amazing customer service and more importantly great products. Some companies have great service, but their products are not suitable for your needs. Thanks to blue Cross for providing great life , and health insurance products.

I would like echo the sentiments of all the negative reviews. Absolute crooks who do not intend to pay any legitamate claim. A complete waste of time and money!
