We recently had Blue Crest install two ceiling fixtures and two ceiling fans in our home and are happy to say it was one of the best examples of customer service we have seen in a long time. From our first call and discussions with Lynn to the courtesy and professionalism of the electricians, we were treated with respect and an attitude that made us feel truly valued as customers. They called ahead, provided a photo and bio of the electrician so we knew who to look for, showed up when they said they would and kept us informed at all steps through the process. The on-site estimate was clearly presented and explained by Larry and there were no hidden surprises. We are totally satisfied with the work and our experience with Blue Crest; we would comfortably recommend them to anyone who needs top notch electrical work done.

Recently, we undertook the daunting task of selling our home of 35 years. During an electrical repair, there were flaws revealed in the electrical system. It was important to us that these issues be addressed before selling. Needless to say, the time constraints suddenly became urgent. Lin of Blue Crest Electric, listened compassionately to our plight and stepped up to organize all facets of the service needed to rectify the issues in a timely manner. We found the workmanship of high standard, professional and cost effective. Staff very courteous, personable and respectful of our home, leaving things tidy and clean. They took the time to include us in discussions to ensure that we understood the process. All the issues were addressed and rectified in a timely efficient manner, allowing us to proceed. Had new pocket lights and speakers put into my ceiling. They took care of the permit and everything. Covered everything and cleaned up very well. On time, on budget and an excellent experience.

Warning: I don't complain, but .......They fixed my electrical connection, was simple, and located hidden junction box, good .... but the bad news: arrived about 12:20 PM for the noon start, OK, got set up, showed the book, pricing, no hourly rate, just by how the electrician assesses the work. So after reconnecting two wires, connecting the switch, the work was done at 1:05 ( I timed their work). After telling me the cost would be reduced for small , simple job (mine), he charges the full 269.00 plus travel time (69.00), plus taxes. Final bill : 379.00 for 35 minutes of activity, yikes! Be warned, extremely expensive. Next time I'll find someone working by the hour and save 200$

We had Bluecrest work on our home through our contractor and for this reason we didn't ask for a quote - but we definitely should have! We were shocked at the final price which was, according to two of our electrician friends (our contractor wanted to use these guys), ridiculously excessive. We were overcharged about 30 percent or about 2000 more than we should have paid. We requested a final breakdown of the bill and just one example of an overcharge was $94 to hang a simple light fixture - something I could have done myself in 15 minutes at the most! We had them do three fixtures so right there it was $300 for one hour of work. I'm frustrated with myself for not getting a quote first but even more frustrated that this company got away with gouging us. Stay away!
