Today, I visited BLS International Services Canada in Ottawa with my elderly mother, who is over 75 years old, for an Indian passport-related service. We arrived around 8:00 a.m. and were second in the walk-in line. While there were not many people in the morning, the wait time was still considerable.nnWhen our turn came, I was informed that I needed an affidavit for sponsorship, which was not mentioned in the provided documentation checklist. This caused significant inconvenience as I had to find a lawyer in the Ottawa area to prepare the affidavit, which was challenging, given the -10°C temperature today.nnThe customer service representative who assisted me was polite and helpful. However, I observed another employee, a girl with glasses, speaking rudely and unprofessionally to a customer, which left a negative impression. Additionally, several people in the waiting area were complaining about repeated visits due to documentation errors.nnOverall, my experience was mixed. While the staff assisting me was kind, the lack of clarity in documentation requirements and the observed unprofessional behavior of another employee were disappointing. I would rate my experience 2 out of 5.
