Amazing service in recent years since the new management took over this place. Great improvement. Bring everything as mentioned on the site and you will have no problem. Applied for OCI few months back the process was smooth and I got it within 2 months. Shout out for the helpful and polite staff too.
My husband and I visited BLS International Ottawa for our passport renewal and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. We walked in expecting a large crowd, but the place was peaceful, making the entire process stress-free. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout. From guiding us with the necessary documents to ensuring everything was processed smoothly, their service exceeded our expectations. The overall atmosphere was calm, and we were in and out much quicker than we anticipated.
The rules are worse and not customer friendly. You cannot do submission and pick up at same day since they not allowing pickup in morning time. So I have to drive 70kms for each task. On 2nd instance, Even though my mom has given authority to pick up on her behalf since she was out of town in written through registered email, they are not allowing. On same question they agreed that I can do that, which is failure of delivering right information. Even Courier also allowed to receive if you're having same address. Always feels like they want to sell their services.nEven though the people working there are polite and friendly, these rules are reducing their efforts.
This has to be one of the worst services for getting anything done. It still operates like old government agencies in India, even though services there have progressed significantly. The level of rudeness is at peak. During a recent OCI visit, we were discussing issues with their form helper portal when a lady interrupted us, defending their outdated system. She went on to ask us for our details unofficially, which felt inappropriate. Upon us confronting her actions, she went back & didn’t show up. Wish to have better options like VFS in US.
