Wide trail and waterside park with lot of parking and view from car options. Like many people parking and taking a relaxing bite within car watching beautiful backwater.nSeveral rides and kids play area around
We did our annual drive through for the “River of Lights” Christmas light show with music. Always a nice drive though but this year it was a nice night for weather and we brought out 3 year old grandson for his time! He spotted the small train that takes you around as well, you do have to prey your tickets and it runs on about a 20 minute cycle . It only had 4 cars to fit small groups at a time.nThis is a visit that is not expensive but you and the family can all enjoy it! I do recommend a visit !nIf I could suggest to the committee that puts this in place maybe have a small venue of hot chocolate , possibly tea and coffee available to purchase for those who chose to sit to take in the views.
Go to place to relax and unwind anytime of the day, any day of the week, any season - it has its own charm.
Blockhouse Island has a lot to check out! It is right off of the St. Lawrence River in Brockville, Canada. There are many great spots to sit down for a picnic. They have comically huge Adirondack chairs to hang out in. The Brockville Railway Tunnel is another great place close to check out!
Love Blockhouse. It was 1:30 pm on a weekday and the place was extremely busy. We managed to find a spot with a great view of the River just in time to watch a huge Freighter travelling down river
