Finally got the chance to visit this location recently. Tried the lunch special for $14 and I was actually surprised for what you get and how filling it was for the price. The place itself is well decorated with tons of seating area. Our server was well and the food was great! I opted in for the classic burrito and their tacos! Overall, we had a great experience and I’ll be back for sure.
Spotted this place by accident while driving with a friend and decided to stop by. No regrets, had a wonderful experience! Above all it is worth noting that staff was very kind and welcoming. Hoping it will be stay true in the future. Ladies in the front were very friendly. Vanessa was serving us and we truly felt her genuine happiness and joy. It was easy to spot how light she is on her feet because her kindness and goodness is coming from within and not fake like sometimes happens in this industry. My friend remarked that she was very attentive and listened well, giving great suggestions too. Always great being served by people who truly care! We ordered three different kind of tacos. They were pretty good, hard to say if they are amazing. I think they still to find perfect balance. One good thing about them, they definitely had a lot of meat and were filling. Wish chips were free like in most traditional Mexican restaurants. I realize it’s a not traditional Mexican place, but just a thought. I like the fact that food menu is not busy and not that hard to make a choice. Tacos, burritos, and a few other must-have Mexican foods. At least, we don’t have to flip pages forever. Beer selection is very good, all beers on tap are carefully chosen and i support the choice. Variety of liquor is quite wide. Could take a while to try them all, maybe that’s the idea so always a reason to come back. Glad we stopped by and wish that people who work here will remain happy in providing welcoming experience to the customers! All the best wishes!
Happy hour offers classic tacos and margaritas for a decent discount. the food has great flavor and is fun to eat with friends. Outside of happy hour, prices are a bit high. We also didn't get some utensils for food items that would require it. Otherwise, I'd recommend here for a quick lunch bite.
Cute place to go FOR SURE! I was SO HAPPY that they offered a reusable bag as part of their take home/ doggy bag option- it’s ADORABLE!!! It was on the spicy side- I LOVE spice and my husband can’t handle pepper- so he didn’t live the flavor of the food like I did- however the service was great as well as the food. Some of our chicken in our avocado chicken wrap was charred pretty heavily so it was difficult to consume but, the fritters and the street corn were amazing!!
Great variety of tacos and happy hours after 9:00 pm. I also ordered michalda which was fine. In the mexicain restaurant usually bring tortillas and dips which could be sth Blanco could consider for improvement. Everything was good except for the waitress which was not very happy serving!
The service was very slow and they forgot one of our meals. The food was above average, but not necessarily awesome. It could have used more seasoning. Found the drinks a bit high priced. Or first visit was a good one. Friendly attentive staff, good fresh food, more than enough in the portions! Definitely recommend for a date night! The decor is great fun! Kid-friendliness: Another table had kids and kids sized options!
This was my first time at Blanco Cantina. It was a Monday and the burritos were half price with the purchase of a drink. Great deal! I had a beef and cheese burrito and a coconut margarita. Both were excellent! I will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
Not sure how this place has such high reviews. From someone who enjoys spice the chili coconut margarita was wayy too spicy to drink. The raspberry margarita was OK. Ordered the half price nachos with chicken to start and in hindsight that was the only redeeming part of the experience. The shrimp tacos were subpar at best and the red snapper fish tacos were disgusting, couldn't get through one of those. **edit: forgot to note that the server didn’t even apply the 1/2 price disc. on the nachos only after we brought it to her attention was it rectified. Nevertheless, wouldn’t come back.
Awesome and funky new taco spot for Saskatoon! I brought our slo-pitch team in for an end of year celebration and had a great time. We had a good table, lots of delicious drinks, and a ton of food. It will take a little bit for them to get the timing down for getting food to the tables, but that's to be expected with new locations. I shared the street corn and ate the bulgogi tacos which were absolutely fantastic! All across the board my team loved the food and may have to make this our annual spot. They have a ton of options with something for everyone, loved it and can't wait to come back!
