Story

Black Hills Pediatrics and Neonatology, LLP was founded in November 1983 by three general pediatricians: Dr. Sam Mortimer, Dr. Donald Oliver, and Dr. Willis Sutliff. Since then, the clinic has expanded and currently has nine board-certified pediatricians; three board-certified neonatologists; three certified nurse practitioners, and a certified physicians assistant on staff.

My daughter seen a doc there and got a prescription the prescription she has been getting for years. I called to ask the doc about the prescription he went back to Omaha. They have no knowledge of the prescription. No knowledge of the doc that was there. How do I find out anything if they dont keep records.

I got a flu shot there with my daughter so she would not be as scared. First, the LPN made her lay down and restrained with arms cross which made her terrified. Second, they charged me $35 for my shot, which is $20 LITERALLY everywhere else in Rapid City. And finally, they have a big sign right at the front desk saying that they will not file insurance for any adult and require payment upfront for services. However, insurance company says BH Ped must file and they get paid directly. So there is no way for me to file AND they only cover up to $20 (the normal price around town). So for any parent out there looking to take his or her child there for a flu shot but wants to show them it's not that bad by getting one too, don't bother. They are still going to traumatize your kid, and then they are going to almost double the cost for yours and you CANNOT file a claim for it.

Rude rude rude. Whoever is the secretary that takes appointments is rude as hell. This is why I don't come here I won't ever come here. Tell me to call someone else and hang up is total disrespect. Should be professional. Even if we're not your friends or family. Should be nice to others. Sorry If u had a bad morning but not sorry for you being so god damn rude. Time to go to church lady

I didn't actually get to see an actual doctor and they refused to see my baby after the first appointment because I didn't want to give my newborn the hep b vaccine because it's an std vaccine the nurse was also really rude after I told her I didn't want the hep b

Although Dr. Benn is absolutely fabulous. His nurse, is absolutely terrible. She has horrible interpersonal skills towards patients and families. I have never been spoken to so immaturely and unprofessionally by a healthcare employee. I think there should be some measures taken so that she is not in direct contact with patients and families. I have never had a nurse be so condescending and down right rude. Dr. Benn should have a nurse that reflects his wonderful care.
