A nice upscale restaurant in the heart of East Lansing, the food and service are always great at an affordable price. Grace and the team were very accommodating serving us outside in the freezing weather, moving heaters just for us. Excellent.

What a treat to walk across the street from Newman Lofts and take home dinner from the Black Cat Bistro. While we've enjoyed everything there -- the Crispy Roasted Half Duckling and Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon are especially nice.
Absolutely love this place! A great lunch and dinner spot, and their Cajun Cream and Andouille Sausage Penne is to die for! The staff is incredibly kind and always able to answer questions about the food. After many visits this restaurant does not disappoint! Will definitely be back soon! :
Accidently stopped in the Black Cat to have a quick bite and take a work call. Chris and Sydney provided excellent service and the Summer Salad was one of the best salads I have ever had! The restaurant is quaint with a nice outdoor area but inside cozy yet upscale ambiance.
Very comfortable and safe outdoor seating. Very nice wait staff. Heaters right by the table kept us warm.
Got take out for dinner, it was an easy experience. I got the walleye and the bread basket. I don't think it's fair to rate the food due to it having been transferred home before eating, but while it was no longer hot when I ate it, it was still good. I'll be sure to try the burger next time.
