We stayed here for 4 nights in July. At first, we were a little concerned about the proximity to both beach and highway, we were pleasantly surprised at how little noise, and how close the public beach actually was. The walk to the beach by the nearby path is a bit of a hike, and we preferred to drive to Warren Dunes. (Get there early, and the dog beach is nearly deserted compared to the public beach). There is plenty to do for all ages and interests nearby, good food, and pleasant people. (I strongly suggest a trip to Shuler Dairy Farm.. Trust me, you've never seen such happy cows). 
We plan on returning next year.
