Surprisingly good dining options in a warm, inviting and unpretentious setting with great service. The poutine side was delicious and so were the chicken fingers. The Thai sautee was a tad too sweet but we still enjoyed it nevertheless. We returned the next morning for a huge lumberjack breakfast which was sufficient to satisfy the largest appetites although if you like your eggs runny, be sure to order them sunny side up as ours came fried when we ordered them lightly turned over. All in, a good place for a nice meal.
Firstly there was a huge wait for a table, it was a lot with kid. Although that is expected when its the season. After the wait the hostess and servers all were very pleasant and nice to talk to. We ordered, the order not take too long to come, but one of the dishes which had rice in it, was undercooked. Which no one really ate, the chicken was very soft and nice, but the rice took all away. Others dishes were decent but not worth such a long wait.
This place has become one of my favourite breakfast/brunch/lunch spots. Lodge/cabin style, friendliest of staff and a warm inviting atmosphere with hot food. Very reasonably priced - quality vs quantity. Would highly recommend their mushroom burger or their omelette breakfast only. Generous portions, food is hot, fresh and tasty without any salt or greasiness to it. Staff here is amazing. Majority of food items fall between $13-19. In the winter they have a roaring fireplace inside too. Parking: Shared with the alpine club lodge.
Wow, really yummy food and even though there was only the one server on tonight, and the place was pretty busy, he still made time to swing by a couple times and was polite and fast at the same time. Came here after reading the reviews about the good quality food, great value, and cozy atmosphere and we both agree that all of the above are 110% accurate. We had the angry peyto and Swiss mushroom melt burgers and both were yummy and juicy. We'll definitely be coming back here again on our next visit to Louise
We had the Cajun chicken burger with sweet potato fries and the buffalo chicken wrap with the house salad. The burger was alright but the buffalo chicken wrap was AMAZING. Crispiest, freshest, and tastiest sweet potato fries I’ve had in a while. The house salad was great too, amazing dressing. The food seemed fresh despite us starting at 9 pm. The server was really nice, and patiently took our order knowing they were closing in 30 minutes at 9:30 pm. She let us stay a bit after closing to finish our meal. Lovely experience! And of course, the story behind Bill Peyto is awesome.
Nice little place to grab a bite to eat in the area. We had the battered cod and hamburger. Both were pretty good for the price and our server was fast and friendly. My fries were a little bit of a mixed bag though as some were crispy and others were a little stale tasting. They were busy enough so it's a little odd. Verified that you can park in the hostels parking lot if you're eating there.
Delicious fresh food! Large portions. Short walk from visitor center parking. Friendly staff and get service. Price very fair. We got elk burger and buffalo chicken wrap. Can change side to salad, which also looks large.
A hidden gem near Lake Louise!!! After a long, cold hike, I was craving for a bowl of warm soup. I ordered the soup of the day - beef and veggies stir fry. My oh my, it was so good. I also share a bowl of chili with my friend. The chili was loaded with flavors! So glad we came.Food: 5/5
Right what you need in the mountains!!! Cafe is located in the same building as Hi Hostel. Portions are huge and well made. Prices are pleasant and you get coffee refill. Highly recommend. The staff is just so friendly
I think rating a restaurant is important to consider the relative quality and availability of competition within the area. There are very few options at Lake Louise, so in the grant scheme of things this place is fine. I do want to say the pasta is quite salty and the fried cod is a bit tough. I am not trying to be overly critical, but I think improvement is very doable. Please keep it up.
