One of the few places in town that offers an outdoor, heated igloo. The waiter is masked and never comes into your igloo. The igloo has a little window can be zipped shut when not in use that they use to pass you your food / drinks. Everything we ordered was very good. We usually go there for pizza but ordered pasta this time around and were very happy that we did.
Man, I was really disappointed with Bigalora and our visit. I didn't feel the staff was very attentive, several food items were flat out burnt Brussels should be somewhat green the pizza had whole slices of just bread, and the draft beer was crazy expensive. 9$ a draft for a short is unacceptable and double the price in most bars. I am not likely to come back or recommend this location to anyone.
Nice place to have pizza and Italian food. The ambiance is pretty good and has a nice selection of drinks. We had a couple of pizzas and sides. Everyone of them were good. Service was prompt and courteous. Prices were a bit on the higher side. But this is Ann Arbor, so what can one expect. One of the few places in town that offers an outdoor, heated igloo. Parking is a pain since there are other businesses in the strip mall, and all are busy. So plan accordingly.
Everything was good enough for what it costs. The pasta was not so expensive but was tasty and with good portion. The pistachio pizza was exceptional. Salad was also good. This place is an affordable but delicious Italian fare.
Nice location and nice atmosphere when the weather is good. The place is deceptively big with its indoor/outdoor seating area. The drinks were good but the food was just ok. Calamari was decent but not as much flavor as I was anticipating. The single barrel old fashioned was delicious however. Parking can be a bit of a problem because there are some other popular businesses on site and the lot is small. Vegetarian options: They have them. Parking: Parking is terrible. Not enough spaces for the businesses on site
This was our second time coming to Bigalora. Our first time, we were relatively impressed with the food, atmosphere, and service. This time we went on a Tuesday and were seated immediately in the 3 season outdoor area. While I could see this area being nice in the summer, it’s not very impressive in the spring season. Our server was great and very attentive. We ordered the Tuscan fries and focaccia as an appetizer. Both were very ok. Definitely order a dipping sauce for the fries as they only come with ketchup which tasted strange with the seasonings. The focaccia was pretty small for the price. For entrees we ordered the fettuccine Emiliana and the pistachio pesto pizza. The fettuccine Emiliana was pretty unimpressive for its price. The entire dish was dominated by the pea flavor and no other flavors came through until we added pepper and dried chili flakes. The pesto pizza was pretty good except it was a bit oily and did not have the crisp crust one would hope for from a wood fired pizza oven. Overall our experience with food the first time was definitely better. Regardless, they had great service and the food was ok for a Tuesday night dinner.
Quality went down ALOT. Got this pizza delivered today - completely burnt. Cheese is burnt, Crust is burnt. worse pizza we ever got anywhere! How would ANYONE put this thing in a box to be delivered for a customer? And it costs $15!!! Are you kidding me? Management should take a serious look on who works there . Went to the garbage.
Service was spectacular! They have gluten free pizza and pasta! Awesome drink choices. If you are mosquito prone, try to avoid sitting outside after the sun sets.
I met friends for dinner. I really liked the atmosphere. It was warm and cozy. Surprised that it was somewhat full for a Wednesday night. Our server was exceptionally wonderful. My friends and couldn’t decide what to order. Our server was kind, patient and attentive each time she asked if we were ready to order. I ordered the meatball/pasta. My portion was perfect because I don’t eat a lot but even my portion became a leftover. I would come back and try something else more adventurous. A great place for conversation, and a meal. It’s also kid friendly. Thank you
We travel from Ohio just for this pizza Get a pie per person, remember to ask for a cutter served unsliced, sit back in the parking lot and try not to eat the whole thing. Get extra sauce $.50 for dipping the crust as it's fantastically simple but delicious. Looks like a cool place to dine-in at but we're usually running around a few places to help justify driving so far We have given up on other Ann Arbor restaurants and only dine here when in town.
