Big lake to fish. Good hiking trails

This is the place to go when you need to get away and be by yourself. You can fish in the old quarry's crystal clear water, walk a two mile loop, see wildlife and wildflowers. It's quiet and never crowded.

This is just what is titled, a rock quarry turned forest preserve. Not a "park" by any means. Still rough around the edges with not many places to sit down or covered areas. *NOTE Enter the park from the southern entrance not the north camp road that Google Maps will route you to. That road is private and off limits with signs everywhere stating so.
