Not a good restaurant for seafood. I ordered the seafood platter with seafood chowder. It came with tiny scallops and little piece of cod; though the flavours were good Had them bake mine instead of deep fried. Didn’t like the moms chowder, the broth tasted like milk with potatoes, too expensive for 25.99$. Excellent view and service.
First time trying Garlic Fingers and Big Red’s are stellar! Also love that their donair sauce is so smooth and not at all thick and goopy. Will def make this our new pizza place because their crust is UH-mazing. Thanks for the very friendly service too! : ooops, only took my photo after we already dug in!
Nice family restaurant with good service. Sitting outside with the view on the harbor is great. The food is only ok, Pizza has rather Ketchup instead of real Italian tomato sauce on it.
The restaurant was alright. Some items were not available, but the food was acceptable overall. Pizza was not good at all.
I'd never been to the Lunenburg location before, but will come back again. The view was amazing and my only regret is that we didn't get there earlier in the evening.
Absolutely delicious. Great service and very tasty pie. Love the sauce. Could really use an upgrade to the entire operation in terms of building furniture and even plateware etc.
Every other restaurant had a line up. This one did not so we ate here. Have to say.... now I know why there was no lineup. Fish was extremely greasy, fries had taste but not in a good way. There were only 4 tables with people including us when we sat down but the server seemed to be swamped. One of our party asked for ice water which never came. Another ordered a smoothie which never came but it was on our bill. I asked her to take it off when we were leaving and she remarked that it was still in the blender..... Out of tarter sauce and lettuce. Don't believe I will be returning.
Delicious, large fish and chips. Family friendly to the point of mini sinks and great little toys for kids.
Its been years since I had Big Reds but was craving it. We ordered a square works pizza and a 12" garlic fingers. It did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious! Will not be waiting so long to order again. Well worth the 30 minute drive.
I know it may sound strange but sometimes you might not want seafood when you are in a place renowned for the seafood. Big Ted's does offer some seafood dishes but their pizza was great. I had a side Ceasar salad and I apologize for not taking photos. Enjoyed sitting on their patio and enjoying the late afternoon sun over the harbour. Staff were very nice and wait times were very good.
