Big Monster Toys

Cool to swing by when you’re in the area, I imagine especially so if you are with a child. I enjoyed it as an adult but know that a kid would get an even bigger kick out of it. Grab some ice cream around the corner and stroll by for a quick picture of a huge door from Monsters Inc. I wouldn’t make an entire trip just to see it though

One of my favorite spots in Chicago was actually just a door. A fake door, actually. I saw it on Pinterest and looked into it and wanted to stop by and see it for myself. It's absolutely adorable and makes for such a fun and cute shot for the gram. It's a cute door at Big Monster Toys that's free to view by the public because it's literally just there as you walk by the street. I almost missed it because I thought it would be secretly hidden for some reason in an alleyway but it's just right there in the open. I don't know how people take such crazy pictures hanging off of it or sitting on it though since it was hard enough hanging on. Definitely a cute stop for photos.

How had I not found this place before what a great little spot for some fun photos!!! I can just picture a groom trying to carry a bride ‍ over this threshold!!!

I had to stop and see the Big Monster Toys, Monster Door! The door knob was above my head and the monster was safely behind the window. Fun stop and photo op. If I was them, and the city, I'd remove the one parking spot in front of the door making it more of a tourist destination and easier photo op. Street parking was easy for the 5 minute stop.

Good spot for pictures. Kids would definitely love this location for the door alone.
