The quality of the food is not worth it to be honest. The crabs have little meat inside and are old and extremely fishy tasting. Shrimp is over cooked. Upside is the sauce is delicious and so is the customer service! Please improve the quality!!! I’d love to give this place another shot! I’ll give it a couple months. Everywhere has gone down in quality since the pandemic, but don’t have your price so high if the food is mid.
Pretty good food, we got take-home & ordered one of the Weekend specials 1lb snow crab, 1lb head off shrimp, corn, potatoes and we added Extra potatoes & sausage. A bit pricey for about 80$ but the the sauces, service and the overall quality are very good!! Takeout: Yes
The food was very delicious. The service was great. Our server name is Andy like in toy story. The crawfish was a decent size. The lobster tail was great. The sauce we got was Pig Soo Wee. Very delicious. I would recommended it. The appetizers was very great also. The wings were delicious, a little small but great none the less. It was a very lovely afternoon nobody was there at the restaurant I felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I would recommend anybody whom hasn’t tired seafood boil to make this there first choice. Please see pictures of our food.
Loved it!!! Treated myself to a Birthday dinner and Cocktails. Been here before and the food is still Delicious. The waitress was just as sweet and Hospitable as she was when they first opened.
Have they earned the name Saucy Crab? Of that there can be no doubt, their sauce's seem like they're not pre made and even if they are I don't care who made them they earn their check that day. The menu is very traditional and classical as far as what you would expect from places like fish fries and crab shacks often found in places like Louisiana or as novelties in California sea areas. However they seem to be under new management or the owner has been slowly adding certain items to the menu that are of an Eastern origin, not that I'm complaining. I wasn't expecting to see fried rice on the menu and you can tell it was a recent addition because the menu could barely fit it, as well as having written in marker you can order some dishes with low main noodles. Customer service is 2nd to none, the tables are nice and wrapped, and if you truly enjoyed yourself it has become tradition for people to write positive things or mention that they had a good time on various pieces of wood around the building, but please keep it related to wooden material as you can see in my pictures. They also don't seem to mention it but they should really advertise that they have gator meat, it might not be a delicacy in places like Louisiana or Florida, but in Chicago that kind of meat is rarely found or on a restaurant menu. The only thing they need now to give off a more exotic vibe and hybrid mix of a Louisiana crab shack with some Eastern noodle sprinkles, is the legendary classical traditional dish known as fried okra you get some of that in and I can promise, people will dip all the sauces in it. I look forward to my next visit and so should you.
The service was great and the food was delicious. We even tried the fried calamari. Our seafood bags were very well seasoned. The drink was more like pineapple juice, they said it was alcohol in it. I did suggest to the manager that they add beignets to the menu. Give us some N'oleans flare for dessert!
They changed cooks and owners.. The sauce was terrible it taste like boiled fish water with.. disrespect! I hate to be rude but my bill was around 250 and it wasn’t good at all.. Parking: Parked in front
We ordered catfish, crab cakes and fried oysters. The texture of the catfish was not firm but very soft unlike the denser texture of catfish, The fish was not fried hard, the fries were half done, the oysters were not crisp and the crab cakes tasted as though they were from the frozen section of the local grocer. The food lacked flavor. Maybe the seafood boils are better. Service however was great. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
Good food and service. I am not happy with the auto added 20% tip, regardless of party size. I like to calculate that myself and decide if the staff deserves it. I've never had poor service, and am a good tipper; but I still think that is up to the customer to decide.
Very delicious food! First time trying this restaurant and my expectations were met. They have a variety of seafood selections and flavors. We also had the lava lava shrimp as an appetizer and was good. But, be prepared to spend some money here!! Kelly out waitress was phenomenal!
