Big Eddy Park

I've been coming here since the mid 70's.My parents introduced us to this amazing family fun center!Swimming,rafting,fishing,and best of all the crawdads!!even years ago this place was magical,and 45yrs later its "Still"beautiful!!!

Camp Host was great. Sites are clean, showers are warm, water pressure is good, campfires are allowed and of course for $5 the camp Host will deliver a bundle of wood to your site. We hitched a ride from the host to a kayaking point 7 miles up river by road. Spent 4 hours on about 10 miles of river. It was the highlight of our weekend. Will return in the spring when there is more water.

Just a nice family park to play in. It's a "come as you are" and not something you need to get ready for. Just outside of Vernonia so if you need ice or anything you can get it in about 10 minutes. Great play area for kids, again a small town 10 minutes away, nice shallow slow moving river with crawdads (crayfish, mudpups to you transplant people) and beautiful scenery.

You can go for a day trip or camp there. If you camp, they have showers, running water at your campsite and electricity. The river is very slow moving so it's great for kids. Definitely one of our favorite places.

Nice clean camp ground on the river. Full hook ups and some room between neighbors.
