Big Al's is huge. This is a massive place with so many TVs, bowling lanes, and arcades. Great place to watch one game or all the games at once. A massive dining space with pool tables and pinball tables, which rent for $8 an hr. Food and drinks were decently priced, and the food was pretty good also. Go during happy hour, order the kids a meal and get $5 credit to play games, and some games are half off to play during that time. Lots of bowling lanes with huge screens playing all sorts of things. This place was pretty cool, but can get busy.
Had the best experience here today with my nieces. Dustin, one of the managers, made sure my special needs niece got the best lane possible for her and was the nicest manager I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Kyle in the bar was great and made fantastic drinks. David was also in the bar and was a fabulous bartender! We thought the value was well worth it- and the experience felt very personable. We did go on a Sunday at the advice of the venue when I called earlier in the week as they knew it would be a little less busy and more tolerable for our special needs little one. Overall- fantastic experience and we can't wait to go back. The kids were exhausted when we left so I say it's a win!
This past Friday our church rented out the back event area, and about 100 Christian men decended on this establishment, looking for fun and food, this place definitely delivers on both, just wanted to thank the crew here for being so on top of it all, very accommodating, friendly and professional. I've personally never been to a big Al's so I had no idea what to expect but it was super awesome. Thanks guys n' gals!
Awesome place for the family! I love the eating area. The grown ups can chill while the kids play in the arcade and they can run in and check in. Quality food, lots of options. Lots of games and bowling lanes. It’s fun during big games or fights!
Had a 5 year olds birthday party here and they didn’t disappoint. Fun, great service, food and drinks were perfect, and the space was large and clean. Staff had everything we needed and more. Kids couldn’t have loved it more.
A really awesome and fun place for any age and any group of people. The more people you have the more competitive it can be or makes a great date night. Highly recommend this place!
My oldest son had his 12th birthday here last weekend, and I feel like we got the VIP treatment. He had a blast, and for a celebration just after all the closures, I feel the staff and facilities were up to par, if not above and beyond. On attentiveness and cleanliness, friendly and professional, everything far exceeded expectations. It was a bit pricier than some options you could pick for a kids birthday these days, but compared to the last two being flops, we feel we got our moneys worth. Pizza was tasty, goody bags were cool for the kids. Plus take home cups I could write the kids names on to keep everyone's seprate for germs. They even had a shirt for the kids to color and sign for his birthday. Super cute. Flipside, if your kiddos are young, be sure to host a few adults to help maintain eyes on them in the game and ticket exchange area. All my kiddos were older so I wasn't as nervous, but if it were my five year olds party, I was way too seperated to feel comfortable. Just an fyi. We will come back for family night for sure!
So decided to celebrate my birthday here with friends/family. The food was pretty good. Drinks were great. Had a blast at the lanes, just a really great time. So you might be wondering why only 3 stars if such a great time.. well we went up to get 2 lanes ,we had a large party 630 pm they were pretty busy, so the lovely staff put my name on a list.. they let me know it was gonna be about 30-40 minute wait for the lanes..we were ok with that as our whole party did not arrive yet... so we are waiting , 20 minutes later they message us our lanes were ready.. we go to the counter and they inform us of an error on their end and only one lane was available...and since we needed 2 lanes; the gentleman at the counter said he would put my name back on the list. I would not loose my spot and about 10 minutes should have a lane. We are all okay our table enjoying company and ordering food... when I realize it is now 7:50pm and we still don't have a lane. We all go to counter and after 3 time explaining the situation they get us one lane. One lane was fine at this point some people had already left anyways and we just wanted to bowl We were offered no reason or explanation as to why we had to wait so long or apology. Just was told a lane is ready now . We bowled a few frames and then got moved to another lane as ours had some sort of glitch. So although the food and drinks were good. We left disappointed in the bowling portion of our evening .
We visit the Vancouver area every year from CA, and Big Al’s is the perfect place to go on a rainy day which is pretty much every day in Vancouver. As far as bowling alleys go, Big Al’s is one of the best I have ever been to. It is clean and modern, with tons of lanes, all in impeccable condition. Even grandma was able to get in on the action as they have plenty of “bowling assist ramps” not sure if that’s what they are officially called, but the entire facility was extremely handicapped-accessible. I give Big Al’s five stars!
We had a company event here. It was nice having a private room where the Mexican food was good for a bowling alley. They also have private lanes to use. They have an arcade as well as a sports bar on the other side.
