this is my local library. I had never been there even though I've lived in this area for 8 years. it's a cozy little place, with very friendly staff. lives up to its Library name!
Great place to work or use the internet. Fast wifi, easy to connect no proof of residence, no password, lots of tables and armchairs available. Close to the metro, restaurants and cafes.
Our first week in Montreal I stopped at this library with my children. Upon hearing me talk to them in English, a man began yelling at me in French from the corner of the libary to go home, among other profanities. The staff appologized, but I wouldn't recommend this library to non-native Quebec families.
