The hotel feels like a throwback to the 70's, since it has not been updated much since then, but lovely, none-the-less. Our only issue was the air conditioning until in the room was very loud. It went on and off all night, despite putting the fan setting to 'on', which kept us awake. Bathrooms are updated, and the beds are fantastic. We would consider staying here again during cooler months.
This is a great hotel in a place that will never be a vacation destination. The staff is warm and helpful. The rooms are clean and well-appointed for a 3-star hotel. The bathroom, including the shower, was 100% accessible with a movable shower bench. And the food at Begbie's, the house restaurant, was amazing -- best pizza I have had in a long time.
The room was fine but had a terrible night sleep because the air conditioner was crazy loud, so we had to choose between sweating our butts off or listening to the thundering rumble of the AC unit.
Right away I noticed a musty smell. AC unit is extremely loud. Without it room is too warm. Very loud traffic noise outside.nPlace just felt it needed some TLC
First time staying here and was pleasantly suprised. Hotel was quiet, beds were awesome as were the pillows. Super clean and friendly staff. Everything is within walking distance. Restaurant down stairs makes a great burger. Will stay here every time I'm in Quesnel.
