service was great! room clean and beds comfortable ! Breakfast disappointing. / definitely not a plus western which we knew but it could have been much better - scrambled eggs very soggy and something added. tasted awful. sausages were terrible! eggp waffles to put in toaster were obviously very soggy. but there was cereal/porridge/bread/coffee/tea. cookies as well though while we were there wasn’t restocked so didn’t get one
Convenient to Trans Canada highway. To us slightly pricey compared to what we get elsewhere for this price, but looks like it is appropriate given local competition and there are not tons of options in the area. Room was clean and not outdated. The shower worked well and was clean. Front desk person was capable and pleasant. Bed nice. Breakfast was not so great compared to other places we’ve stayed at this price point, slices of lunch meat ham, bad scrambled eggs and lousy potatoes. Toaster worked though. Breakfast attendant seemed uncomfortable working there, neither friendly or unfriendly, no smile or greeting to anyone, and yet there was a tip jar! My tip: fake a smile and say good morning, or find a job you like. FYI I often tip nice breakfast attendants when there is no tip jar. I am sensitive to road noise but there is no issue here, listen to my video, road noise is very faint even with curtains open. This hotel is good enough and comfortable, a 3.44, my only mild gripe was it was higher priced than similar hotels elsewhere. But if we are in Duncan again, we’d most likely stay here as all was fine enough.
I stayed with Best western Cowichan Valley Inn. during my visit to Vancouver Islands.nIt was a pleasant stay. The hotel aesthetics were warm and welcoming . The room was clean and tidy. Worth the money spent. The food I ordered from the adjoining restaurant was delicious. Thank you
Hotel is worn out and needs updates. Bathrooms have zero counter space to put anything, stupid design for a hotel bathroom. Front desk never welcomes rewards members or gives you the water bottles promised by Best Western unless you ask for them. Haven't gotten any points for my stay, maybe they won't be a Best Western for long since the service is so bad? Worst quality hotel towels, as well. Management also doesn't care about kids running around the hotel playing hide and seek and disturbing every other guest. Sleep in your car, you'll get a better rest.
It was renovated and very nice however I found multiple hairs in the room, in the tub, on the pull out couch and we asked to set it up and were given a top sheet , and by the sink. Honestly cleanliness is everything to me
