Great off leash dog park. Big car park where most of the time people park properly. Great big open field as well as woodland trails. Access to the water for dogs. Trash cans and public toilets too. Great for the whole family as walks can be as long or as short as you like. Great in all seasons.
Great walking trails with a stop along a lesser-known portion of the Rideau River, on the other side of the Long Island locks. Lots of dog walkers with plenty of open fields to let them run. Just a heads up that the paths are also shared with cyclists.
Lovely park to go for a walk in the winter. Its clean and has a long trail. Its also always fun to see all the cute dogs in their snow suits haha!
Naturally beautiful and less man-made efforts to make it look beautiful. Multiple tracks along the river Prettiest Fall Park Car parking available Favourable Dog Park
One of the best wooden trail to walk your dog off leash in the winter around Ottawa. The trails are flat and well taken care of. Great view around the Jock river, and easily accessible for your dog to have a quick dip in the water during the summer. Would be even better if it could be a looped trail. Lots of parking available.
Beautiful trail, the only outdoor activity during this lockdown period of Covid-19 epidemic is to walk in nature, this beautiful trail is one of the best among Ottawa’s area many hiking trails. Nice scenery, lots of trees, rolling river and beautiful weather. Highly advisable for family with children, walking or biking along the river side, breathing clean air and listening to bird’s tweets!
I love animals so I don't mind dogs off leash...dont go if you dont like freely roaming animals...it was sunny and cold today but still some mosquitoes in the shaded part of trail...so when it's hot use lot of bugs spray...trail not marked so use maps...in between house can be confusing...free parking limited so go early
Nice place to walk along the river. Be aware that it's an off-leash zone so expect heavy 4-legged traffic.
Beautiful trail. Lots of wildlife and action even at -25! Moderate traffic in the winter. The steaming river was mesmerizing.
Well maintained trail, wide enough for both walking and biking. Nice views of the river.
