Whenever I come in here the people are always nice and helpful. That's always a good thing but the last time I scheduled a hearing here they wrote it down wrong. So I suggest you always call at least a week ahead of time to make sure they have the same date in their books as you have on your paperwork. It makes for a lot less hassle in the end
I imagine it would be a better place if you could get a hold of someone. I've never been transfered so many times. How unhelpful can you all be. You must be so unhappy with your lives
This is the place to go if you want to lose faith in the judicial system. The chief judge is barely qualified to be an admin. She is hard to understand when she speaks and often gets confused during hearings. Laws are ignored in this county. Apparently judges can make things up as they go since there are no checks or balances in Michigan to make judges accountable. The Friends of the Court are not much better. They cannot do basic math. The list goes on.... Put all this together and you have the recipe for lengthy cases, hearsay over evidence, and a complete mockery of what is expected of the justice system. The lawyers make out great as they spend countless hours trying to interpret the gibberish that the chief judge puts together. Good luck to anybody who has to deal with this place.
Wonderful and dedicated staff! However, if you are dealing with the Juvenile Court for your teen, be careful if you are assigned the probation officer J. Mochler. In my honest opinion, she leans towards believing whatever the teens tell her, regardless. This can cause irreparable hurt for the parent's or guardian's.
Probate staff on 4th floor is ridiculous. They have no idea.what they are talking about. They give me paperwork to out then 3 weeks later a different person from the same department tells me I don't have the updated paperwork. Have to redo everything! Then the guy from same department, Ron, tells me my son has to be living on his own to be emancipated. Hey Ron, it's against the law for a minor to live on their own BEFORE they are emancipated!!
