I would highly not recommend this company for any of your insurance needs. My business had no workers comp for almost 2 years because of their negligence. They tried to blame it on the fact that my business changed from an llc to a corporation. And the fact that the person who was handling my policy had been fired. So what?? But my policies should have been reviewed when they were up for renewal in 2020 and then in 2021. Seems like something that should have been caught over a span of two years. They then told me that I was all set with the new workers comp. I called the state to thank the officer that came to my business to investigate the fact that we didn't have workers comp as I most likely wouldn't have known that we were without it. but who knows? maybe after three years they would have caught it. The lady from the state told me that since I had just notified them of the new policy that I would only have to pay $500. NO ONE BOTHERED TO NOTIFY THE STATE. So of course I am not renewing with them. My new insurance broker sent over the policy cancelation. No one bothered to send it over and I was charged for general liability insurance this month. If you want to take a chance with them, go for it. I never write bad reviews of companies, but this company is terrible.
Berkshire Insurance Group, is the worst organized group. they don't receive cancellation or faxes and makes it difficult to cancel any policy. They are horrible DO NOT USE them for your homeowners , they continued to charge my checking account for a year after cancellation. They say they are sorry but they are not. My homeowners was increased by $200 after one year with them and Preferred Mutual. I called BB Agent and he said there was nothing they could do that was the increase. So I contacted another carrier and agent and signed with them, now a year later, Berkshire Insurance Group is making my carrier and myself jump through hoops to get this cancelled and refund the money they pulled from my account.
I have just extracted myself from the last of six insurance policies I had with Berkshire Insurance Group. I had no problems with them.... until I needed them to do something. After an insurance company terminated two of my policies right after a claim against one of the policies, my agent dropped the ball finding me new policies thought they had two weeks to do so. If I had relied on them, one of my rental properties would have been uninsured for at least a week. When the deadline was looming, I was told by BIG that it was too late to meet that deadline.... no supervisor on duty to plead to. Toole Insurance Company didn't think it was too late when I called them in a panic. They found a policy for that property within three hours. That's my insurance agency now.
Last year i saved over 1300 dollars when i switched to coverage with National Grange Mutual.Liberty Mutual wanted to charge me over 2500 dollars for The Same coverage! I ended up paing 855.00 for the year. Deana Post helped me and i ended up getting the Elite coverage pkg...this year im still saving....1076 for the year plus the discounts for being a customer paid in full for a year.
The two Wendy's that work there are AWESOME.
