Bella Coola Cumbrian Inn

Horrible!manager was beyond RUDE,the rare time there was actually a staff member there at all!There was no heat or phone in rooms. A family member tried to rent a larger room and was told that yes they have one however they will not rent it because "It is too much maintenance"...uhhh ok, ive NEVER heard of that before! I would NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE EVER STAY IN THAT NIGHTMARE OF AN ALLEGED HOTEL!!

The room was comfortable and fine. To be fair, it was off-season when I stayed there, but this is the most hands-off management and staffing I have ever seen at a hotel. Upon arrival the front desk was deserted, and I had to call to get someone to check me in. After that, I didn't see anyone there for the duration of my 2 night stay. Like I say, hands off. Some may be fine with this, others may not.

Plan to stay for two nights, but leave after one night. No hot water for shower, no window for ventilation, no heater, only two cloth hanger. The room is even not clean after the last customer, I can find the used soap and shampoo in the shower room. And you could clearly hear people in other room talking. So if you want clean and tidy and have a good rest, don’t stay there. Just try your best to avoid this place. It is absolutely the worst place ever.

Clean and tidy. Economical rooms; no frills but good price. Efficient service, but somewhat impersonal. No air conditioning, fan, nor windows that open at least in the rooms, so it made for a hot night in late June. We both had trouble sleeping because of the heat, even on top of the blankets. They have WiFi access for guests, but didn't provide the login information anywhere in the room, on the receipt, etc. and when we asked at the front desk they didn't have the current password. They eventually found it and left a note on our door, but heads up to future travelers to *ask* for WiFi.

We stayed at the Cumbrian Inn for 5 nights and ventured out from there every day. It was a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Edith and her daughters who also work there were always willing to tell us about the area and the culture. Only a block from the Bella Coola Valley Inn restaurant that had great food and prices. I would stay at the Cumbrian again for sure.

The staff are wonderful and it's a cozy place they are in the middle of updating the rooms it was clean I would stay again it was a little gem hidden away but what a great location.

Paid $150per night for a barely basic room. No A/C. No fan. Room was very warm and not properly cleaned. Sorry to say worst value in our month of travel in BC. Proprietor was super friendly. Can't recommend.

Very clean, quiet. Helpful staff. Weather was not ideal during our visit, but in spite of that we had a great second visit to this beautiful place. The gallery next door in the same building was a pleasure to peruse and the art was exceptional. Would stay here again.

Not even one star - never choose this location! AC not functioning and windows not to open! THE killer during hot summer periods!
