A visit to Beerntsen's is a trip back in time, a lakeshore tradition for over 80 years. You are greeted with the original black walnut cases filled with homemade candies and hand-dipped chocolates. Step through the archway and enjoy a delicious soup, sandwich, malt, or sundae in an old fashioned ice cream parlor.

Mackenzie is a wonderful worker. Always has a smile on her face and shows what it means to be a TRUE employee who loves her job. The sundaes she makes always taste delicious. A wonderful attribute to the beautiful, “sweet!” And delicious candy facility.

Have loved this place since I was a kid. Still the best candy anywhere.
What a cool place! Great prices on a nice lunch, friendly staff, and great treats for after. We didn't get any icecream but will be back again to try it out. If you eat here take the time to read the little newspaper thing they give you on the history of the business it very interesting. Worth a stop if your in the area!!
Still make hand made candies the old fashioned way. Delicious and wide variety of chocolates. Have sugar-free options as well. Also have in store ice cream selections of sundaes that date back to the 1950's and are delicious!
Mackenzie was a GREAT server. Always on top of it! Got our food out hot and sundaes were amazing! So sweet!
