First time visiting today! What a wonderful little diner. Our breakfast was delicious. Fresh bread toasted perfect. French toast made from fresh bread was very good. Even loved the whip butter and syrup was mildly sweet. Thinly sliced potatoes as your hashbrowns. Bacon had a fresh taste and crispy. Ham slice was not Salty like you may get at a restaurant. Tiny cup of fresh jam with toasts, biscuits or English muffins. Eggs tasted farm fresh. Purchased a Coconut Pie and a Peanut Butter pie to go. Coconut pie is so yummy! Friendly staff. Your wait may be extended during peak times and yes, depending on how busy they are, your food may take some time but you will not regret it. If in the area again, we plan to go back. Would love to try lunch and dinner items.
Quaint little country diner in Blissfield. When we arrived the small parking lot was full and some cars were parked on the side street. Could not figure that one out, seeing as there were only a dozen people inside, including the employees. Service was extremely slow to order and also to receive our meals. I ordered the farmers omelette with grits, instead of hash browns and a biscuit, in place of toast. The omelettes turned out to be very large and well filled. Overall they were good, but I occasionally would bite into pieces of ham, that tasted like they were borderline old tasting meat. Maybe different brands of ham, who knows. Biscuit was served with homemade raspberry and strawberry jam, which was delicious. Coffee was served in very large cups. Parking: Very small lot, had to park on side street.
Stopped in here on a Friday evening for dinner. Ordered the BBQ fried chicken dinner because I had heard they were known for their chicken. This dish is a half of a chicken with two large side dishes. It was probably the best chicken I had ever eaten. The meat was moist and thick. The BBQ sauce was a little on the sweet side, which is how I like it. There was enough food for two meals but I couldn't stop eating the chicken into it was gone. If you like fried chicken and BBQ sauce, this is an amazing meal.
Cute little spot along 223. Great looking baked goods as you enter. Quick breakfast specials. Sausage and gravy was good, and the loaded omelette had tons of veggies.
The food was good. I really liked the Apple Cinnamon sweet bread. My husband liked the Fried Chicken dinner meal. I had the Carolina Chicken Salad, it was great! Very large portions. They had issues with being out of our requested beverages. We ended up getting the sweet tea and it was very good. I'd like to try their breakfast menu soon.
TOP NOTCH COUNTRY KITCHEN! If you want a nice homemade cooked meal ghat tastes amazing, this is the place. Their fried chicken blows all local fried chicken out of the water!
We decided to check them out and are glad that we did. We both went with breakfast choices. The chicken fried steak was fresh and not frozen. The portions were huge and we had to take some home. The blueberry zucchini bread was great and we can't wait to try another one of the sweet breads.Food: 5/5
Waitressed service was absolutely fantastic. Prices were very reasonable. Atmosphere was nice. Friendly environment.. plenty of room for parking in the rear of the building. Customers should enter the restaurant through the front door.Food: 5/5
