
Beaver Island, MI has a unique history like no other, and The Beaver Island Historical Society is passionate about sharing it with everyone.
The Beaver Island Historical Society was founded in 1956, and has steadily grown.
Today it has two museums, a Heritage Park with outdoor displays, and the Protar Home, which is open five times each summer. The 300-member-strong Historical Society is managed by an 11-member Board of Trustees:
