Great food, atmosphere and prices! We had travelled by motorcycle to Lion’s Head and were wanting a place to eat lunch. We had eaten here once before prior to Covid and thought that our friends would enjoy it. We were right! Large portions of excellent food! And I’m told the strawberry-rhubarb pie was awesome. Didn’t indulge but did share a butter tart with my husband and it was excellent. Jackie our server was top notch. Very personable and got our orders right even though we did our best to try to confuse her. Well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.
I stayed at the inn for one night, and ate in the restaurant once. The rooms are older with various condition issues, but that sums up pretty much every motel in the area. I would put it above average in the price range for the area, and it was a very clean and well equipped room. The restaurant was great. It's extremely popular though, so best to get there early for meal times. In both cases, they could really use at least one more staff member. There is one super nice woman who both runs the check in and is the only server in the really busy restaurant. It makes things a bit disorganized and hectic, which is absolutely no fault of hers. A plus is the location. You are central to pretty much every hiking trail, a gas station not many up there, and Lion's Head. An ideal place to stay while on a hiking trip.
Amazing food, good portion size and decent prices. It's completely homerun and the staff will greet you nicely. Be prepared for a wait, however, as they clearly state on the menu that they make everything fresh, even the breads are made in their in-house bakery. We were starving so it was kinda hard on us but it was totally worth it.
I wasn’t impressed with this visit. They hit my credit card 2 days before our arrival. Cancellation is 7+ days before arrival. The XY’s men’s washroom in the restaurant needs a major renovation. The Employees, including the owner’ son, were very friendly. Food was good. Rooms were good. A spare blanket would be nice.
I stayed here one night with my husband and two dogs. The room looks clean and ok at first. Of course it is a motel so I don’t expect that much. But there were peanuts under the nightstand and my dog ate it and threw up. I also found some toys and garbage under the bed. Moreover, the bed had human’s hair and stain which looks disgusting. I told the receptionist about this and she did not even apologize or do something. She just said she is not the one clean the room and she will pass this to the cleaner which I found so irresponsible and poor service. I paid $125/night plus $50 extra plus tax for my dogs and I hope they don’t get sick after staying and eating garbage left on the floor. About the food, we ordered breakfast here as well because I saw reviews good. I chose Papa Bear portion which included 3 eggs any style but when I opened it, there is only 2 and the poached egg is a well done boil egg. The fries are undercooked. Overall, it isn’t worth the price and I don’t think I will come back here again. I rather pay more money but worth it.
Food was good and timely. Waitress was also very attentive and patient with the child. I've had both dinner and breakfast here and I would happily go back. An must stop on your way through.
Just had the Thanksgiving Dinner! One of the best I've ever had! Roberta and Jeff are really great hosts! Five stars is really not enough to give this restaurant! I highly recommend Bear Tracks!
Thete are limited options when eating out on the Bruce Peninsula, especially in the evening. Bear Tracks was a great find as they are open later than most, have grear home cooked meals and homemade pies, and are a great value. My recommendation, start with the pie!Food: 5/5
We loved our stay! Family owned and run restaurant and motel. The rooms were clean, with fresh linen and towels. It definitely surpassed your typical motel expectations. The food was good, and the hospitality was warm and authentic. Thank you for treating us so well! Also the pie was great!
Such a cute place the owners are amazing and so nice. Check in was easy and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Best pillows I've ever had anywhere! Restaurant has great home cooked feel good meals. Definitely 5 stars!
