Ordered a cooker on Monday, which was delivered and fitted, as requested on Friday. From the salesman through to the delivery men and the installer, everything was first class and better than could have expected. I can highly recommend Beacon Electrical.
We bought a microwave from Beacon in Kingsbridge yesterday. It was good not to have to travel a long way, they had a good selection at reasonable prices, and we bought what we wanted. Good service from a young but knowledgeable lad.
Where do I start? Ordered from them as they stated on the website it was in stock and delivery available the same week. After paying close to £1k, received a phone call to tell me that it is not in stock and they would order for Friday with delivery the following week. Then received a phone call on the following Monday to tell me its in and I could have it delivered next week. I refused this and they managed to find me a slot for the Wednesday. Fitters arrived at 1830, all in a bit of a rush. Move on 2 months and a leak appears from the front of the washing machine. Moved the machine out to find extensive damage caused by the leaking connection they had fitted, to the point where the floor and sides of the kitchen units are ruined. They did visit and then told me they only offer a fitting guarantee for 48 hours. They might not respond to this as they didn't even have the courtesy to reply to my complaints, but please DO NOT USE. Go to HBH Woolacotts instead like I normally would, far better service and the installation guys there are far superior also. I am also having the repairs undertaken by a Contractor and will be sending the invoice to Beacon. Disgraceful service!
Cooker arrived broken. Used them for several years but the customer service is now very poor, one of the managers attitude is disgraceful. Time to move on and spend my hard earned money elsewhere. Never again.
Whole experience with Beacon was good. Fair price, plenty of information, and a really prompt and responsive backup with phonecalls from them. Ben has to be mentioned, most helpful.
Ordered a Range dual fuel cooker, installation and removal of old Range cooker. what can i say thats not positive, i have ordered white goods from Beacon Electrical in the past, they are very competitive and the staff are friendly and well informed of the product they are selling. They promised installation on the date i asked for and delivered on their promise. The Gas Safe engineer turned up first and as he was disconnecting the old cooker when the delivery team delivered the new cooker and removed the old cooker. The engineer fitted the new cooker and took my gas fitting up to the Gas Safe standard fitting a bayonet connection as well as a safety chain so the cooker can not pull on the Gas pipe. The install and removal was painless and far exceeded what i was expecting. big thank you to the Beacon Electrical team and especially Ashley who kept me informed at all times of the progress and even offered an early install if i wanted to. regarding the negative comments on here if you have a hard wired appliance i would say you should of stated that to them when you placed the order as i believe most washing machines have a plug and are not normally hard wired in, further more these guys don't know what you have unless you inform them of this. Anyway my wife and myself are extremely happy with the service they provided and will continue to use them in the future again thank you for a first class service.
I ordered a Shark vacuum online in the sales. I paid £199, reduced from £349. The next day Beacon Electrical called to say that they had made an error with the pricing and that the model I had paid for was full price. I asked that as this was their error and I had already paid for the goods, they should honour that. They declined. I asked that they did NOT cancel the order until I had taken consumer advice. After speaking with citizens advice, I was advised that they do not have to honour the price I paid but I could ask to reach a compromise. When I phoned Beacon Electrical, I was told that they had cancelled my order despite my being specific in asking them not to. So I would not recommend this company as there is no guarantee that you will receive what you order and their customer service is woeful.
I had my washing machine delivered today. The two Men were polite friendly clean & tidy. They were very professional & left my home as if they hadn't been there.I have had a great experience from time or ordering too delivery. Sam & Josh were a credit to the company they represent. I will not hesitate too order from Beacon Electrical again & will highly recommend. I have also left a review on TrustPilot & gave again 5

I ordered a oven off beacon electrical. Not only was the delivery date more than a week overdue but the cooker has a massive dent in the bottom which is so bad it has bent the legs and the dent can be seen from inside the oven. They have refused to replace the cooker or repair it. even though they still have the same cooker in stock Disgraceful company and will not recommend them.
