After a grueling 12-hour drive in the 1st snow storm of the winter we booked a room at Baymont Hotel. We unloaded our vehicle and went to the Bayside Lounge for a relaxing drink and a bite to eat. We were greeted by very pleasant girls, polite, smiling and so friendly.  Our food and service was amazing.  We stay at the Baymont a couple times a year when we make our trip to Saskatchewan, it's our favourite. Thank you to the chef and staff for making our long drive a pleasant experience.  We will be back!
When I and another guest arrived we noticed a table of four guest and two other tables of two people. This was around 5pm. We sat for a bit as the bartender/waitress was serving quest at the other tables. We decided to get a menu so we walked up and took ones that was at the bar. I will say for a pub menu it was extensive. We started to read the menu over and made a decision. By this time the bartender/waitress finally came up to us. She wasn’t very friendly or attentive to our table. When we finally got our meal there was only one table of two & one person playing the slots . But she was the only staff on other than kitchen. The broccoli cheese stuffed chicken with a creamy marinara sauce was Really good. The traditional pierogies were a bit greasy. The side order of the cheese garlic toast was nice even though a tiny bit burnt. I love to give 5 stars but this bartender/ waitress could have been more attentive and friendly.
This was my first experience with VLT machines and I have to say they were way more convenient then a traditional slot machine as you could select from a variety of games to play all on one terminal. I wish I could say Lady Luck was on my side that night but that was simply not the case. However the drinks were priced right so that maybe the visit all that more enjoyable. Fast and friendly service from the staff.
I have been to this lounge many times. One thing is consistent. The service for the VLT players is pretty much non-existent. I could understand if the place was busy but when there are only 5 or 6 people in the whole place you should not have to walk up to the bar and get your own Pepsi. It’s seems the serving staff doesn’t understand that people tip better when they get good service. This is not a once in a while problem. It’s engrained in the culture of this business. I check with other patrons of Bayside frequently and they agree the service is really more like self service. Wheelchair accessibility: Does have a long gradual ramp to the VLT lounge but not to the restaurant.
By far the worst food I’ve had in Medicine Hat. The wings tasted more like expired fish than chicken. All the food was soggy and had a freezer burnt and fishy taste. At the very least the soggy garlic toast tasted like garlic. Would recommend to never go there unless you wanna lose your money and appetite.Food: 1/5
I recently visited Bayside VLT Lounge that had several Vlt machines and drinks. I was able to get drinks that I enjoyed while playing my favorite slots and video poker games. The atmosphere was great and the drinks were cold and delicious. I really enjoyed the experience and found the slots to be exciting and rewarding. The Vlt machines were kept up nicely and never had any issues while I played. The staff was friendly and attentive to my needs. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a good time and some gaming fun.
First time being here and will be the last. Server approached us took our drink order, our food order. The waitress brings our drinks out then food. A member at our table ordered a sandwich which came with paper in it, showed the waitress she took it back. Brought it back out said they re made it, no way it came back out in less than 5 min. Burnt. We asked for a couple waters the waitress noticed a few people at our table had not touched their waters, she asked if we could just have the waters that were already on the table that were not touched. Another member ordered fries, she did not receive asked the waitress she looked at fries in the middle of the table and asked if we could have those instead, no they were cold let me mention those fries were from someone else’s plate. The waitress had no manners. Grabbing glasses, grabbing plates, no excuse me. Bills came instead of “I’m sorry but I’m just about done my shift could we square up” the response we got was “I’m done my shift so I’ll have you pay now”. This place was not busy when we walked in, on wing Wednesday…… we found out why. Thank you bayside for having us but it’ll be the last.
Had their wings on wing day. Price was more reasonable than other restaurants, but the wings were also smaller. The worst part of the experience, was the wings tasted old. I will not return here, because of that. Who knows where they are sourced from.Food: 1/5
My friend and I regularly come in for the lunch specials which is an amazing deal first off. The owner has exceptional service and is extremely attentive to her customers and very great to chat with. Unfortunately when the owner is not working the other staff/waitress’s feel subpar if you compare the two. One of my biggest pet peeves is not being asked for a refill of my drink while I’m inhaling a spicy chicken wrap and sit throughout the meal with no drink. This doesn’t happen when the owner is here and their is only one other table here… No excuse really.
We went the Bayside VLT Lounge two days ago. The hotel stuffs behavior too good. Drinks was awesome. Food was testy and clean. We'll come here again.Food: 5/5
