Bay Beach Amusement Park is a city owned park that has been serving the Green Bay community for more than a hundred years. We have 22 rides that will accomodate all ages. The ride tickets are 25 cents and there is free parking.
Bay Beach Amusement Park is the 9th oldest continuously operating amusement park in the U.S. and is tied for 21st in the world.
The Jack Rabbit (1901-1922) and The Greyhound Roller Coasters (1929-1936) were the first two at Bay Beach. They were designed by John Miller the premier coaster designer of that era.
The Zippin Pippin was also designed by John Miller and built in 1923. It operated at Libertyland in Memphis, TN until the park closed in October 2005.
It was built using 335,000 board feet of NEW treated lumber; 105 tons of structural steel, 46,000 bolts and ½ mile of track (approx. 8 football fields).
The first drop is approx. 70 feet, and is called “the Monkey Face”. Ride time is approx. 1 minute 35 sec. with 30 riders per train.
The cost to ride the Zippin Pippin is $1 (4 current Bay Beach ride tickets).
