I don’t have much experience with German food but I will say this was quite tasty. I know that right in back of this restaurant is a Oktoberfest area and a German soccer area, so bringing all of the elements of the area it’s a perfect place to experience German food and culture. The restaurant is very large with table which can hold 10. Even though I’ve never had German cuisine I would say I very much enjoyed this food, the Wiener schnitzel was the best part for me because I do enjoy Italian veal. The ribs were made to perfection, the bones come right off with an amazing tender classic rib. Not super German but very Wisconsin like are the cheese curds, love cheese curd in general, these were no different. Overall I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and area based on the German activities and of course this restaurant.
Second time at this place and will not be the last. Great service from the start. Tasty food with lots of authentic German/ Bavarian flavors. From pretzels to brats and obviously the beer. Great fresh styles of beer brewed in house. Ample parking and ample room for an army of people. They have special events and carter for all like weddings. They also included a replicate beer hall and garden fit for any Oktoberfest. Vegetarian options: A full separate menu option for vegetarians. Parking: Lots and lots of parking!
I'd give this place more than five stars if I could. Chelsea was a phenomenal waitress. The place itself has an incredible feel to it with live band adding to the ambiance. Of course the food was equally amazing. I ate potato pancakes my whole life but these guys take them to another level. The duck was delicious; tender with nice and crispy skin. Cannt wait to go back.
I've been wanting to try this restaurant since my first trip through the area. We ordered the large pretzel and it must have been enough for at least three people, I think there is a larger one, but we should have really ordered the smaller one. We also ordered chicken schnitzel with Jagger sauce. Really delicious and came out amazingly fast. I'm looking forward to going back, but the only reason why I can't give it five stars on this visit is we must have sat there for 20 minutes, not 12 feet from a group of servers who had no table and no one would come over. Finally a server from across the restaurant came over and said she'd be happy to help us, and the experience got a lot better from there.
Near our house there is a Milwaukee staple, and one of the only great restaurants in the Glendale area, the Bavarian Bierhaus. There is a space for everyone: a nice sit-down restaurant, a bar, a bierhall, and an outdoor biergarden. As we live 10 minutes away, we have been many times, and the food and overall experience is always great. However, you can always expect a bit of oddity from the service staff, who never seem to know how long it will take to seat you or if/when a table might be available. None-the-less...the food! We stopped in recently and Andrea Dexter tried their Currywurst, which comes with a side of fries also smothered in Curry Ketchup. It was tasty and did not disappoint. Ryan said it was authentic, as he has been to Germany a few times and eaten German street food. I had the Weinerschnitzel with mushroom sauce, my old stand-by. It comes with a side of spaetzel what I was actually after, and once you add a bit of salt and pepper to the pasta, the entire dish is great. They offer it with different sauces ham and cheese, etc., but I always opt for the classic "champignon". If you are looking for traditional German, look no further. There are often options to attend for live music and events, so keep an eye on their calendar! Pat McCurdy is a favorite!
Tried bringing us someone elses order. When correct food did come,we had missing items had to ask multiple times for correct items. To few waiters/waitresses for being a busy Saturday night. It took over half an hour for check to be brought to table after asking for it.
Great place for all group sizes and ages. Food is beyond belief. While you are eating you actually begin to have thoughts of how lovely it would be to have more than one stomach
Went for dinner tonight. Large beer hall with the most uncomfortable seating I've ever experienced. Long wooden benches with zero padding or even grooves that contour with your body. Flat seat, straight back. The hall has several large TVs so I could watch football, however its high-ceiling and completely open space made it very loud even though there weren't many people there tonight. The hall itself was very clean, however the restroom left MUCH to be desired. The food delivery was obnoxious. I received my food a full 8 minutes before anyone else. I was nearly done eating by the time the last person received their dinner. Was this a kitchen peoblem, or a server problem? Unknown. Our server DID spend a lot of time IN the kitchen. The food was very good. I had the Schnitzel Club Wrap, which I just now realized was served without the pickle. It was tasty and just filling enough. Glad I chose that, as most of the group opted for the Brewmaster Platter from the 1/2 price specials which was HUGE portions. They all greatly enjoyed it, but only one finished it with the others taking more than half home. Definitely a good value for very reasonable pricing. Parking: Massive parking lot
Food was good, servers were friendly and knowledgeable, lve music was unexpected and the dancing was entertaining. Great place to bring your family.
A great experience. Beir was very good and food was Amazing. The only complaint was the Black forest cake tastes a little old.
