Bates Beach Oceanfront Resort

Great private campground right on the beach in a pretty secluded area. There's a small general store that's run out of the main office with fishing equipment and other small grocery supplies. The staff are fantastic, and care greatly about the quality of stay of ALL of those that are staying with them. As such, campground rules are clearly posted, completely reasonable, and staff seem to make sure they're adhered to (and this is greatly appreciated). The only improvement I can think of would be a pay-per-use sani-dump site on the premises for those that couldn't get a site with a sewage hookup.

On short notice they put us up...came in on a late ferry and they still were nice enough to leave us keys to wash room and a map of where to park our trailer...John and George were so nice...the place was cleaned every day. endless supply of wood cut, nice warm water in the showers...a beautiful view and so peaceful...met some very nice people here also...will for sure go back when we get a chance!

What a beautiful spot! We are all setup for the weekend, campfire lit, overlook the strait. Campsite is cozy.

First visit was lovely.staff were very nice.second stay only lasted 1 day due to 1 of the owners being impossible about the family visit we had planned.daughter grandson and wife and my 1 week old great grandson and my young grand daughter were coming for an evening barbq.they were told that only 3 were allowed because of the extra power water and sewer they would use.we paid $45.00 to stay there.its not like they came to use the facilities.they had a quick ocean swim dinner then had to leave.i will NEVER stay there again.that was just RUDE.!!!
