Basics Co-op Coffee & Deli (formerly Lucy's Loon Lake)

At first I thought, am I in the right place? But yes, inside the basics Natural Foods cooperative is a small Gem of a coffee bar. Staff is very friendly and they have a game where you can roll dice for a free coffee, which was sweet.

Amazing food! We were on a 14 hour road trip and stopped for breakfast but bought lunch too because everything looked so good. Excellent service, $2 smoothie (you would pay $7 for in Nashville). Vegan, gluten free, healthy choices were everywhere. I would live in this town just to belong to this co-op!

I decided to go to Starbucks in Janesville for my morning cup a Joe. The Starbucks in Target didn't open until 8:00 am. I was then directed to Lucy's .Oh My Goodness, what a friendly place!!! I met so many nice people there, & it is the official stopping point whenever I will be in the area.

I fancy a super tasty soup, and have found it here! The staff is awesome and very helpful. I've tried some tasty cookies and a couple soups, can't wait to try more!

We were looking for a vegan restaurant while passing through Janesville and found Lucy's on the web. It's a little difficult to find as it's tucked inside a health food store (Basic's Co-Op). But Lucy was super helpful and very friendly. She offered samples of the soups, and helped direct the vegan in our group to the vegan options available among the vegetarian and "normal" options.
