This place is great! Great food with great vives. The decor and aesthetic of the restaurant is really unique. And, of course, the food is really tasty and decently good value. This was one of my first times trying Ukrainian cuisine and I am happy I came here. I will be coming back in the future for sure. All the food in the picture fed two very hungry people 3 appetizers, 1 soup, 1 main, but this was a lot of food for sure and very filling!
We have visited this lovely restaurant as a guests of a birthday party. The service was unmatched. The staff truly cared about everyone’s experience. The food was absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. If you looking to discover the real Ukrainian food culture - this place is absolutely must be visit! From top to bottom this restaurant is absolutely amazing! Thank you for a great experience and an outstanding evening Highly recommend!
Went in for an early Sunday dinner. The service was excellent and the food tastes spectacular. Am glad they have tried to keep the menu authentic to Ukrainian food with negligible variations. Tasted the Salo, pickled Herring, roasted potatoes with dill, nalysynky, holodetz, ribs. Portions are just right too.
Loved the atmosphere and friendliness of the owners! The flavors bring a little piece of home to Toronto. I really recommend their Nalivka berry liquor It's absolutely delicious. And of course, the Ukrainian shot is great for a photo op! After the meal I recommend going to the lakeshore nearby and soaking in the peaceful views!
Ukraine has arrived Toronto - and it is such a delight. We found this restaurant by browsing restaurants in Etobicoke and boy it did not disappoint. This is a family owned restaurant which is bustling with Ukrainian culture. Let me divide this review in all the essential components: Food: My wife and I ordered 2 appetizers to first try this restaurant and see if we want to order mains. The appetizers were simply finger-looking delicious. We wanted to order the mains but we were so full from 2 apps that we have decided to come back and keep trying new items on their menu. They offered a mushroom based sauce and it was delicious too. All the items are freshly cooked from scratch to give you the best of food. Service: The staff is very hospitable and give their honest recommendations. Our server was very sweet as she was helping us make the decisions. My wife was interested in the Ukrainian top that the female team was wearing and our server was kind enough to share the Ukrainian markets that she can possibly buy it at. Overall, we have saved this restaurant in our list of favourites and I highly recommend this place if you are interested to try Ukrainian food.
Went on a Saturday evening, had a wonderful time. The waitress was attentive and kind. The live music is wonderful, the gentleman playing the saxophone is amazing and talented. The atmosphere was wonderful, people got up to dance and have fun. Enjoyed myself we stayed for 3hrs. It was nice learning about a different culture.
I loved Barrel House Korchma. They have amazing house made traditional Ukrainian food which reminds me of babas. We had the cabbage rolls which were phenomenal. The perogies with potato, butter, and onion just how I would have it during holidays. I truly loved them. The kielbasa sausage was delicious. If you have never had Ukrainian food this is a great place to visit. I highly recommend and would love to come back.
Amazing atmosphere never seen so much traditional East Slavic decor in my life! and delicious, authentic Ukrainian food at affordable prices. The patio is also very spacious and well decorated. Providing attentive multilingual customer service, the staff also speak Ukrainian and Russian. Fun fact: much of the interior was handmade by the owner!
We went for dinner a little late at night around 9pm and we had an amazing dish chicken shashlik with smashed Potatoes with this amazing sauce. The price was 22 each plate it got a little up and the pierogi also very good and is now 13. It was super delicious will definitely coming back not to mention the amazing waitress fast and super nice. Love it highly recommended place to go.
a piece of native ukraine so far from home. How wonderful that you can plunge into the Ukrainian atmosphere in this place. In addition to the interior, you can also hear Ukrainian songs here, and the most important thing is Ukrainian cuisine. So far I have only had a chance to taste borsch, insanely delicious ... but next time I will definitely come back to try more dishes
