Just wanted to say a big thanks to Graham from Bark Busters for all the help he's given us with our little man Grizzly. Though an adorable and loving pup, Grizzly has been challenging in different ways: seperation anxiety, social anxiety and resource protection. We've been lucky to have a trainer who was so readily available, no matter the question, no matter the time, Graham always found time to talk us down and explain how we would move forward. Each issue was addressed with an approach specific to the problem we were facing and luckily, if we were consistent in applying the method, we saw results rather quickly. Today, we're doing better than ever with Grizzly. He's almost 2 and we've worked through some pretty crippling behaviours. So happy to have Graham no more than a phone call away. Thanks for all the help and support!
After 3 years of never having anyone over because I didn't trust my dog I called Bark Busters and Graham came. After 2 hours I had a NEW DOG!! He taught me how to speak dog, and even went into my 'puppy's nutrition which has made the world of difference, it was the best thing I've done in years, THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I wish there was a sixth star to give!
It's now been four years since Graham Smith "trained us" how to talk dog with our MinPin energy bundle when she was just a puppy. The results are absolutely fabulous. I strongly recommend Graham for any training, and if you can, do it from the very beginning, keep an open mind and the results are incredibly fast, efficient and long-lasting! Graham is a truly unique trainer in a class of its own. This is an update, please see my past reviews, they're still valid. I just wanted to refresh my review to let others know we're still extremely satisfied with the results. Have a wonderful year, full of doggy love :-.
Our ongoing experience with Graham through Bark Busters has been nothing short of amazing. We are first time dog owners and welcomed a 2 month old German Short Haired Pointer into our home about 4 months ago. We were having leadership issues as well as a bunch of other problems. I appreciate how timely Graham is in responding to questions/emails/phone calls no matter how many questions you have, trust me I have asked more than my share. My husband recently went away on a business trip and our pup refused to listen to me. Graham helped me out more than he knows. On top of helping me through the problem, his encouragement really helped me to get through it. Puppies are no joke and Graham's expertise and training have made the experience more enjoyable. I highly recommend Graham, remember that he can show you/give you the tools you need, but YOU need to put in the time and work with your pet.
Graham came into my life three years ago. I called him in a panic because I had just adopted a six week old rescue puppy and although the dog was not even in my home yet, I knew I had made a mistake and was feeling completely overwhelmed. After only a short conversation with him and learning what would be involve, I knew then and there that I would not be able to keep the puppy and reluctantly gave her back. Graham was there cheering me on and encouraging me to not give up saying that we just hadn't found the right dog for our family. Graham was on the case and vowed to find us the right dog. Several weeks later, I received a phone call urgently pleading with me to go see a dog right away, as this was the perfect dog for us. Alas, he was right. She was a wonderful, calm, trained dog looking to be re-homed and she fit perfectly into our family. As I had never been a dog owner before, I was unsure of so many things. Graham put himself on call for me. With his almost 24/7 availability, he was there every time I called. He helped us through the growing pains of the fist few weeks and gave us helpful tips regarding training but also so much more; what kind of food to use, the best vet, the reliable dog walker, the best dog brush, and the list goes on. We are all settled and comfortable with each other now, but Graham is still there for me when I need him. I was and will always be so grateful for all that the he has done for us. He is a great friend to have in your corner!
Words CANNOT explain how grateful I am to have called Graham. He has made having a puppy an absolute pleasure. Without his help, I would have an absolute monster as a pet and possibly regret ever getting a puppy. Graham is easily reachable, always available and excruciatingly knowledgeable. His absolute love for dogs emanates from him and his passion easily translates into how he addresses any issue with these animals. Graham has fixed every single problem we had with our puppy OVERNIGHT NOT an exaggeration! Do no hesitate to call Graham, not even for one second. He is worth EVERY.SINGLE.PENNY! Graham was amazing! My dog had a couple of issues that I had trouble in the past correcting, however within one session with Graham I had all of the tools and techniques to deal with them and my dog is now much easier to take care of. He is attentive and will call to check up on the progress and will come back whenever he is needed. Overall it was a positive experience, and Graham was an excellent trainer.
We have been blessed with the most wonderful puppy. No one thought that we needed to train her and said that the little 'puppy kinks' would just go away with age. We decided that we wanted to make life easier for everyone including our puppy, Willow, so we decided to try to get the little puppy annoyances, like pulling on the leash, dealt with right away. Boy did we make the tight decision! Graham showed up at our house and within a very short period of time gave us ways to deal with not only the pulling but also the mitten biting, the jumping and even pointed out other issues that we weren't even aware of! His knowledge on what certain behaviours mean, how to deal with them and also on dog nutrition, is impressive. Of course it takes a commitment on our part to keep up our end of the bargain and to be consistent with our dog but it has been such a wonderful experience. Our already lovely and calm pup is now quickly turning into a dog that we never could have imagined of having. When you are already dealing with young children who take up a lot of your time and energy it is great to have one less thing to worry about. It has only been a week and we still have work to be done but Graham is available to us to answer questions and will continue to be there for support and is actually making another visit in a few days. Graham is so sweet! His approach is nice for both man and dog. Using his method, we quickly solve so many issues of our dog. Like separation anxiety, barking constantly, and ignoring our call...He is patient and responsible. He explained to us why we need to do this, why we need to do that...he taught us dog’s natural instincts and habits for us to make sense of what we’re doing and better ‘communicate’ with our four legged friend. To be honest, it’s definitely worth trying his lessons.
