A true gem for book lovers and remote workers alike!nnThe Grande Bibliothèque BAnQ is hands-down one of the best public libraries I’ve ever visited. From the striking modern architecture to the peaceful, light-filled reading rooms, every corner of this space invites you to slow down and get lost in a book or your own thoughts.nnThe collection is enormous and wonderfully diverse, with plenty of options in French, English, and other languages. I was especially impressed by the comic book section, the quiet study areas, and the abundance of power outlets and cozy nooks. Whether you're a student, a remote worker, or just someone looking for a calm place to spend a rainy afternoon, you’ll feel right at home.nnStaff are helpful and welcoming, the Wi-Fi is reliable, and the building is spotless. Bonus: it’s right next to Berri-UQAM station, so super easy to get to.nnHighly recommend.

Probably one of the best public services in the city! I haven't explored every inch yet like their auditorium so I can't speak for 100% of the place but their library sistem is just the best I'm not even an avid reader but it's not all books! They have computers, printers, work spaces you might want to try the connection before settling in a space if your electronics need it, movies, music they have a cool room for their vinyls, table games and videos games! I'm probably missing stuff but all this to say, they offer a great many things and all accesible to the public Their website is also very user friendly, it can save you trips to the library if you need to extend your book reservations!

I dare say this is the best modern library in North America, certainly the best one I’ve been to. The architecture is a marvel, the collection is extensive, the study areas are quiet/relaxing, and the free maker space is something to be envied. Washrooms are okay, not necessarily new looking, but spacious enough, 4/5. I was even able to get a library card with their express permission as a souvenir even though I don’t live here.

We wandered into this library by chance and was pleasantly surprised at how big it was. We had our toddler with us and loved how well thought out the children's floor was. It had a few sofas and TV screens with headphones that kids can watch movies on. A very large selection of children's books for all ages. Highly recommend spending time here!
