Just wanted to say how lovely a young gentleman named Justin is that works at the Alliston location. He’s been there just under a year. He was so pleasant and helpful with what I needed. I was depositing a large check and taking out some foreign money. Such a pleasure to deal with!
Not sure what's going on here lately, a year or so ago I walked in with an issue, was treated well, issue resolved politely and I was on my way...last month however, I went in for help, I was instead treated like a toddler by a woman with long dark hair and glasses who is CLEARLY on a power trip. She insisted I had to go to my home branch to resolve the issue I didn't, it was resolved by a different teller at the same location, she barked at people 'who are you here to see?' so i said confused 'a teller?' and she barked again if i didn't have an appointment to stand in line, she then POINTED as if I was unaware where the line was...I was behind another lady but I guess my shoe was slightly out of the marked arrows on the ground??? It seemed like she just wanted to feel big. She used a lot of big words incorrectly to try to make other customers feel stupid. I waited and was helped by a very nice lady named Maura i believe she was very lovely, made me feel comfortable and helped me solve my problem easily and in one visit! Much more than I got the last time I came in. So I think the lady in glasses who likes to feel like top employee should take a lesson on from the other tellers on how to do her ACTUAL job CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Absolutely pathetic. Tried to make a deposit in the bank machine, as I can’t handle standing in line with the turtle mode tellers , always yapping and chatting with customers , at least 5 people waiting. So while I tried to deposit my cash, the machine got stuck, took my money and card. I proceeded into the bank a bit overwhelmed, as I had a lot of cash on hand. I looked over to a lady teller who was just observing the workers, and I approached her about my card and cash being stuck in the machine.i am certain her name is Suzie. She has no customer service skills, very unprofessional and gave me an attitude. She told me to stand in line. so why would I stand in line when the bank machine has to be opened by somebody other than a teller. She was not friendly or apologetic and seemed angry about having to go to the bank machine and open it with a key. I will never deal with this bank again after I close my accounts. There’s more banks who care. This one definitely does not.
Was with this branch since I was 12 years old, when 25 went to get a loan I was told no, walked across to TD got my loan, went to get a mortgage was told no, went to CIBC got one no problem. I sold my home wanted to invest a lot of my money, the lady was telling me where and what to do, I clearly told her what I wanted to do she wouldn't listen one bit, so pulled every last cent out of there that day got a draft and went to BMO and been very happy, it was funny how quick I had a manager called to the counter when I asked to withdraw a lot of money, and had managers calling me while i was in a meeting with BMO, they all of a sudden cared, just a little too late in my mind! Never again will I deal with Scotia Bank they are a joke, staff is rude, slow and could care a less to listen, they had their own adgenda. After all my years of being with them I had enough and will not get my business or funds. Would not recommend them to anyone.
Do not bank here ever!!!! Thrives!!! They've left me stranded in another country and refuse to give me access to $3700 in my account with no valid reason and no I'm stranded with no way to get back and I'm a student and work!!! Branch manager does nothing but makes excuses and to top it off, I can't use my account but they continue to charge me my monthly service fee!!! #CTVNews #CP24 please investigate this corrupt bank!!!nnToday is now July 24!! It’s been months they’ve left me stranded and the branch manager Cameron refuses to help, will respond once and then impossible to get ahold of, I’ve been waiting 1 week from my last email and he hasn’t responded!!! I asked him to escalate to the person that would overlook the area branch managers and he refuses to respond as he knows his actions are against branch policy! And they still continue to charge me account the monthly fee!nnJuly 30th - Cameron still hasn't responded to my emails and my funds still haven't been released. They beg you to bring your money and preach how they'll provide amazing service and when you do they Rob you!!!! They took my hard earned money and stole it from me! Branch manager here is horrible!! Said he's happy to help and never responded againnnAug 20 - Still being taken advantage of by Scotiabank, constant lies and excuses from Cameron the branch manager. He needs to be removed from Scotiabank. Told me on July 31st, my funds were being sent back to the person who paid me, even though the funds are legitimate and confirmed, but guess what, weeks later, it hasn't been returned to them either and I still have no access!!!nnAug 29 - Cameron still hasn't done anything with this, the money is still on the account frozen and he refuses to return the funds also. Stay away from these thrives!!!
