Bank of America Financial Center

After my car was deemed totaled by Geico, I visited the Geico adjuster at Telegraph and 12 Mile and he printed a check for me to cover the equity I had left in the car. I immediately took the check to this Bank of America location and the clerk, for whatever reason, told me that a phone verification was necessary due to the type of check Geico issued. The clerk handed the check off to her colleague and they told me to have a seat. I literally waited almost 30 minutes. Finally, a woman comes from her cubicle and tells me that Geico cannot verify the check because it was recently issued - like minutes ago. Well duh. I asked the woman if she could just deposit the check and put a hold on it (since we are talking about Geico and not LA Insurance or some sort). Bank of America refused to do so and told me to come back in one to two days and try again. I simply smiled and walked out, set in my car and deposited the check on my phone. The funds cleared in the morning. I am a very busy commercial real estate lawyer with 9 rental properties and I'm trying to get a replacement vehicle. I don't have one to two days to wait. This branch was a roadblock for me. They could have easily suggested that I deposit the check using my phone as a workaround. A total waste of time.

Bank of thieves all they want are fees to have an account with them. Why cant I use my money ??? Would not refund the fee they charged me. Not banking with them to lose money had to close my account and go to another bank that doesn't charge to bank with them.

What is horrible experience I can't believe they had four people working and I SAT there in line behind someone else well three employees chatted with each other behind the counter. I was actually coming in to open an account but after several. Minutes without even being acknowledged from any one of the employees I decided to leave and open my account elsewhere
