Everything we ordered was fantastic!! The outside of the building looked sad but inside was very welcoming, warm and clean. Food is on average $1 cheaper than other Thai restaurants for the same size. Definitely will come back with more friends!
Thought we'd try this place as it was well reviewed. We tried the Panang and Green curries and both were soupy and oily. The flavor and heat is there and the vegetables and meat are cooked well, but the visual of the oil floating on the top makes it completely unappealing. Also, the vegetables hadn't picked up any of the curry flavor so it was like they were just thrown in with the "soup" - no infusion of flavor whatsoever. Papaya salad is uninspiring and the flavor is pretty much absent. The take-out containers are the worst. 2 out of 4 of our items leaked all over the place. The containers were a cheap foil bottom with the thinnest plastic lid I've ever seen and the whole thing is wrapped in plastic wrap. I can't believe how cheap the food packaging was considering these are $16-$20 items. I called the restaurant to tell them we didn't like the food and I got the "there's nothing we can do about it". I won't be back and I'm trying to do a public service here as I have been ripped off.
Nice and courtesy Thai restaurant. Suitable for family or friend gatherings. Papaya salad is very hot and spicy but tastes well. We just prefer the Pad thai to be a bit drier. Great Pe-nang curry.
Just moved and had to find a place to eat. I went here and was very impressed. Loved it so much I’ve been there a few times. They have a few vegan and vegetarian options. I got the Yellow Curry with tofu and green onion cakes. My friend was impressed as well with the pa-nang curry. They also tried the green curry and hot Thai basil dish with beef and enjoyed it. Service is friendly, restaurant is unique and comfy. Prices are fair, especially for how much I enjoyed the food.
This is my go to Thai place for take out and eating in. The restaurant is kept in excellent condition and the service is also great. Food can take awhile to be prepared as it is always served fresh and not microwaved. As someone who loves to make salad rolls they have some of the best I've had in Edmonton. The peanut sauce is authentically home made and the food is fresh also. If you have any doubts about where to go for Thai food this is the place to be. Staff are willing to go above and beyond to make sure that you get what you ordered. The peanut sauce I ordered was a little bitter and they were able to get a new one prepared right away.
I had Tom kha kai soup and Panang curry with children. very good dishes especially the soup. Staff were friendly. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.
Very good atmosphere and excellent food. Each dish has a different flavor and large portions.Food: 5/5
Celebrated my brothers birthday here and had a great time. Awesome food, spice level was very nice. Our server was also very friendly and knowledgable. Would highly recommend.
My friend recommended this place to me and we went here for dinner a few days ago. The outside is bit dismal as you drive up to this forgotten corner lot on 100th Ave. Inside, the atmosphere is reminiscent of your grandma's house. A bit too warm and over-decorated, but you love it anyway cos it's your grandma's house. It all adds to the experience of an amazing home-cooked meal. We started with the papaya salad and the vegetable pan-fried dumplings. Now, I have been to Thailand a few times and papaya salad is something I get with every single meal. It it is one of my favourite Thai dishes. This salad so was amazing. Immediately, the flavours transported me back to Thailand. I was sitting on a busy street beside a food cart, making conversations with some cute old gramma. The spice level was on-point. A little too spicy for my friend, so I happy ate it all. I couldn't stop eating this salad. Wow!!! The dumplings were average and I'll probably try something different next time. For our main, we had the seafood pa-nang curry with coconut rice. Agian, I was blown away by the flavours. The coconut broth was delicious and the seafood cooked perfectly I am generally not a huge fan of seafood in broths/soups/curries, as it just keeps cooking and tends to get too dry. But this was perfect. The shrimp were nice and plump and the scallops were still suple and juicy on the tongue. We ate every drop. We definitely will be back. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.
Tried their pad Thai and pad see ew. While edible, they are far from authentic. Pad Thai doesn't have the sour, sweet and savory taste. Pad see ew is way too sweet. Portion size is also on the smaller side, hence the relatively cheaper price. For authentic stir fries, look elsewhere.Food: 3/5
