They are scamming me out of my money I don’t actually owe them and have been having problems since before I signed up. I came in one day asking about the free appointment (let me again say FREE appointment they cannot legally charge you for when they call it free) and they said they never charge you for the initial appointment if the human has never been to banfield before whether they pay for the wellness plan or not. I then asked about the wellness plan and she handed me a pamphlet. I set up an appointment to come in for the free exam. I come in for the set date with the pamphlet I was given and all the vet did was take his temperature and continue to judge me for not getting his leg amputated (by this point I had only had him for a month, just adopted him, first dog I have ever owned and taken to the vet, very first vet appointment I had taken him to and didn’t even know it needed to be). She then told me how all the prices on their pamphlet is wrong and the just increased all the prices and never gave me anything in writing about it. She gave me time to call my mom and ask her what to do. I then paid the new price they said it was for the wellness plan. I never signed any contract or anything. I ran my card, and that was that. A month later I had lost my job and couldn’t pay the wellness plan anymore, nor was I even using it because my dog is healthy. So I called the vet office and explained to them the situation. She then said “that’s fine I’ll just take you and Max out of our system and you won’t owe anymore.” 2-3 months later I get an email saying I owe $139 because I haven’t been paying my wellness plan fees. So I called the vet office against to figure out what’s going on and explained my last phone call to them and the email I recieved and she said in order to cancel a plan I have to call customer service not the vet office. So I did that the next day cause it was a Sunday and customer service was closed. He said he cancelled my plan and I won’t owe the $139 anymore but I still have other expenses and to call the vet office. So I did. They tried sending me back to customer service because they didn’t know what I was talking about. One or two forwards later their charging me for a check up during that free appointment that never happened. When I tried telling her that check up never happened and all she did during that check up was check his temperature and tell me to amputate his leg she refused to believe me and continued to raise her voice which was then causing anxiety in turn causing me to raise my voice because I was getting uncomfortable and maybe she wasn’t hearing me correctly. She then gave me 3-4 different amounts their trying to charge me so I still don’t even know what they think I owe them. Completely unprofessional business. Going to talk to someone at the courthouse about the next steps to take because this is unacceptable. Thank you for your unprofessional business and calling me a bad pet owner for not taking my dogs leg off and not giving me and reasoning on why it even needs to be amputated.

I just want to say how pleased I am with Dr. Nelson! She is the primary Dr. for our pets and I have always a pleasant experience with her! Any questions you have she has no problem with explaining everything! Our 13 year old dog just got spayed and had a mass removed she just an amazing job with her. Thank you for everything you do Dr. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a primary vet Dr. Again thank you for taking such good care of not only our pets, but us as well!

Never had any issues here and the staff are always kind and supportive. I'm happy that our dogs get so much care and attention when we bring them in.

Have had very positive experiences with Banfield in the past, around 5 years ago, and have spoken highly of them since then, even recommending to friends who are pet owners. Called them today to ask some questions about an exam for my dog, and the woman who answered the phone (said her name was Shawna, not sure on the spelling though) was so rude, I ended the call. Get some better help at your reception desk, Banfield, you're losing customers. (Check all the reviews below mine, this is a common theme for Banfield on 82nd.)
