Story

Banff Sweet Shoppe is the iconic candy store on Banff Avenue, Famous for our bright pink doors and pink bike out the front, our beautiful wooden features, stunning chandeliers and the train that goes around the ceiling, our store makes everyone feel like an excited child in a candy store again. We offer a selection of delicious homemade Fudge and Chocolates and well as the widest selection of candy in town; from Retro candy you remember as a child to the latest candy we have it all. We also import from Europe, the UK and Japan and have a wide selection of Dutch Licorice. Our Pez wall is something you've never seen before.

Come in for sweets, stay for the experience and leave with memories.

Awesome selection and amazing homemade fudge. We tried to amaretto and praline samples and they were INCREDIBLE. The lady working in the store was very friendly as well. She wasn’t able to measure out 100g of fudge exactly but still charged us only for 100g which was a nice touch. Looking forward to my next visit!

My wife can't come to Banff without going here.  Has many of the chocolates that you had as a kid.  The set up if the store is wonderful with many candy decorations and a toy train running around the ceiling.  A good place to visit.

Should seriously consider hiring staff who don't seem like they hate their job and customers. We were confronted by one of the ladies from the counter who accused us falsely of opening up little plastic parachute soldier toys. Not only did she accuse us for something that was already done before we got there, but she had done it in such a rude manner and wouldn't give a sincere apology. Instead, kept trying to just dismiss us. Would give zero stars if I could. Not the kind of service that will bring customers back. At least the employees should have some respect and show responsibility for their mistakes.

While we were browsing the store an employee approached us out of the blue and accused my brothers of opening up some of the product on the shelves (however, I was with them and they did no such thing). She quite rudely and angrily informed us that the product could no longer be sold, pulled it from the shelves and stormed off to the front counter. Stunned and a little put off by her assumptions and rude attitude, I approached the counter and calmly explained to her that we had no part in opening the product. She continued to argue back that we were responsible and tried to continually dismiss us. Until finally she delivered to us and very sarcastic apology and knowing that she would never give us a sincere apology, we left the store. I have never experienced customer service that bad before and I would never consider returning. Unbelievable.

This shoppe is amazing! The Girls in there are so friendly & helpful. I WAS a child in a sweet shoppe for sure 😄. Will be back in the future.
