Bring your National Park pass to get in for free and use the washroom facility on the other side of the parking lot before you enter. Step back in time as you enter and explore animals, birds, insects, and learn about the effects of climate change on our planet. The kids enjoyed the museum because of the scavenger hunt in the kid's explorer book I'm not sure they would have enjoyed it as much without the books. They enjoyed collecting another tag for completing the tasks in the books!
Amazing and unique museum. The wildlife over here are really looking beautiful and there are many different types of animals displayed at this museum. The place is over 100 years old and is preserved so amazingly. A must visit place in Banff. Highly Recommended.
I would highly recommend visiting Banff park museum national historic site and don't forget to bring your park pass get in for free. first floor wheelchair accessible I didn't see an elevator and huge washroom facility 10 ft away from the museum.
It is a place to visit when you are in banff, the staff here is very nice! You'll really learn so much from all they have in store, the taxidermied animals and birds. They have variety of eggs of birds too. It was a zoo here before so you can learn so much from just visiting. They have also small talks that are done to being in more awareness about wildlife. Also, they have made so attempts to bring in awareness regarding the global warming!
Hasn't changed since the 80s - great to see at least one part of Banff being original still from when I grew up there. Our kids loved seeing the different sized eggs and the different animals but did comment that Bass Pro in Cross Iron did a better job lol.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

This museum is still in its original state the building itself a historic one. It is 100 years old and has great history about animals indigenous to Banff and others donated from places to it.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
The Banff Park Museum is located right downtown it has parking, but the parking lot gets super busy and filled up. You need a parking permit, which u should have bought already entering banff. The museum was busy but not too busy. I had room to move around, lol. There are so many different animals in the museum. it's very fascinating to see. The fee for the museums is around $4.75 Canadian. There is no R.V parking allowed in the parking lot.
What a great place. There is so much to see in this beautiful building. All the staff were so friendly and had interesting facts to share. The kid's storytime was fun and engaging. Excited to come visit again!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
