Enjoying the Long weekend on Canada’s 157th Birthday, visited this much loved Restaurant with my family after a gap of 6 months. Food was delicious as usual with quick service. They need to brighten up the interior with some more lights and music and Afghan ethnic cultural paintings.nAlso change the time on web site it is showing closing 10:00pm and on the door it is 11:00pm.
I got the kofta kabob. Really delish! I really enjoyed the sauces it came with and the rice was so good!nnI really liked the pita too. It was so fresh, when you open it, steam came out and it was so fluffy.
When Wonderland closes to prepare for Halloween Haunt 5-7 p.m., this place explodes with customers. We had stood outside debating if to go in and decided on a whim to try this establishment for the 1st time. The service representative at the counter was very kind and supportive and made a lovely recommendation that allowed us to try a ground beef kabob and grilled chicken with rice and salad. The entire meal was well seasoned, flavourful, and fresh. I especially liked the sauces provided on the side.nThe establishment is cash/debit only, so unfortunately, many patrons left as it directly limits those prepared for Wonderland's cash free policy. I believe a notice should be posted on the door or outside on the wall, which would limit people lining up only to be disappointed at the cashier.nThe restaurant process is as follows:-nThere is no table service, you place your order at the front, pay, and you receive a receipt with a number to be called to the front when your meal is ready. Your meal is presented on a tray at the front and you take it back to your table.nFor 2x meals, 1 masala tea, and a coke zero, we paid a little under $45, which was very inexpensive as we normally spend 4-5x that at St.Louis with each visit to Canada's Wonderland. Neither of us could finish our meal and felt a little guilty wasting, but it was good to note for the future. We also purchased the mango Icee/smoothie at the end of our meal, which was very flavourful.nIn all, it was a pleasant experience.nnKey Points:-nCash/Debit Only.nNo AlcoholnLarge portions You could sharenGreat Naan/breadnMango Icee/smoothie is a must trynDrinks CansnFirnee is delicious A sweet milk puddingnChicken breast Qorma is absolutely delicious with a hint of heat.nTeas are superb Masala, Cardamom and Ginger.nNote:-nCheck meat items to ensure cooked throughout 1x Chicken piece was pink.nANDnVisit even if Wonderland is closed. It was that good.
The service and the staff is really good. If you’re a fan of kababs, you should definitely try this place. Their kababs are amazing, especially the chapli kababs.nI ordered chapli kabab with rice and naan. It was quite savoury and good quantity.nnThe atmosphere sometimes is loud and quite uncanny. It’s unsettling when you hear kids crying loud while you’re enjoying your meal.nnI would highly recommend the place but not for dine-ins.nIt’s highly recommended that you take cash or debit card. They do not accept credit cards.
My husband & I visit this place as often as possible! We live about 45 minutes away & it's so worth the drive!! The amount of food you get is awesome!!! Especially since a lot of restaurants decreased their portion sizes during the pandemic!!!nnThe Tandoori Chicken is so moist & is bursting with flavor! Love the rice! Love the salad.... love it all!!! The homemade Naan bread is incredible!!!nn2 dinners & 2 pops was $40.66. They only take cash or debit.... no credit cards! And they don't ask for a tip when paying with debit! I know, crazy right?!?! That's unheard of now a days.... everyone expects a tip these days!!!nnThis place is definitely a hidden gem if you ask us
