Great restaurant that offers take-out style but you can sit down too. Extremely tasty food and the servings are big! The Mantoo dish was delicious! The chicken, the beef and the salmon dishes are all rich in flavors. It's tucked in a corner in a big plaza. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Qualitative, tasty and flavourful food. Dishes comes with nice hot and yogurt/mayo combinations and tasty warm bread. Rice was professionally cooked and seasoned to Afghan style. Prices are reasonable. Service was very pleasant. Provided good options and recommendations.
What a great deal for the delicious aromatic food and great portions. We enjoy dinning in. Loved that we ate and basked in the amazing meal at our pace. I loved the fact that we were not hurried out by staff. Got to truly enjoy the bread and the kabob meals. It was so much food that I had enough to pack for dinner. The chilli sauce was a perfect side kick to the rice and meat. The salad was fresh and crisp with the right amount of dressing. Overall, it was an appetizing meal and worth every penny!!
Been here twice, great place! Lots of seating, lots of parking and lots of good food. Great service with everyone constantly smiling. We’ve had the Mantoo twice, which is a great value for money, large portions and tasty. Their tandoori and chaplee kebabs were great and so were all the sides of; rice, salad and their bread. Would recommend for good Afghan food.
Really? This for 15.49? I am really disappointed. I only ate one piece before taking this photo. This really does feel like a scam. The food tastes decent but you're better off going somewhere else if this is all you serve..
A gem of a place witj authentic and delicious Afghani food! Nice bug place for my son to run around in and the food was quick and the cardamom tea was exceptionally delicious! You order before sitting and the serving counter is big and the people accommodating! Definitely stop by if you're craving some meats and rice!
I’m sorry to say that I will not be coming to this location anymore. This was always my favourite Bamiyan to come to with my family: service and quality of food wise but unfortunately the quality of food and service has deteriorated in this location. First of all, we live in a modern and digital age so please be honest and consistent with your prices. The menu cards you have at the cash are not accurate and the person taking the order charges more than the price indicated while you have the correct or updated prices marked in black marker and hidden in the back. This is very misleading and even dishonest as the customer doesn’t see that. Also customer service. The person taking orders at the front are usually female but used to be very friendly, courteous, responsible and have a presence of mind and do not make mistakes in orders. Now unfortunately, I see the order takers being rude with customers especially if the order takers have messed up the order and throwing or pushing their orders rudely towards that person. The chefs at the back are not very polite either I am afraid. I prefer the Pickering location now as the staff and quality of food is better there. Prices are consistent and not inconsistent or misleading. Please keep in mind that just because you are successfully run business does not mean you should lower the standards in quality of customer service, food and prices. Sooner or later it comes back to you and then that is how a business goes down.
This is in a huge plaza with lots of other shops of restaurants and lots of parking spaces . This place has plenty of space and has good number of Dine-In seats. The washroom is roomy and clean as well. It did take some time to get the order ready. The Choppan Kebab Dinner had Salad,sauce ,rice and came with a naan. The meat was juicy and smoky. The salad and rice tasted fresh and sauce had great taste. The Naan was so soft and did not need dip to eat .It tasted so fresh and yummy. The only thing that bothered me is that due to COVID they did not gave the meal in a plate and it was in a takeout box which posed some problem to eat .The plastic knife was not sharp enough to cut through the meat which made the experience of cutting cumbersome and finally had to use hands to eat the meat. The one -fourth part of meat was bone .I feel they could give bigger pieces if it has to be like this or just give boneless meat. Food -4.5/5 Seats-4.8/5 Service-4/5 Presentation/Cutlery -1/5. Total-3.6/5 Hope to eat post covid era and update my review.
