I came away from the restaurant with a great first impression. The food was solid, especially for the price, and the customer service was decent.nnI highly recommend that you get their signature steamed seafood pot. We got a small and it was enough for the family of four. They really pack in a ton of high quality seafood in the small pot. The broth at the end is almost like a bonus and it's absolutely killer if you pair it with a shot of soju.nnWe also got the Korean beef tartar and they give a lot of extra things to eat with the beef like wasabi, and seaweed.nnI will definitely be coming back with a designated driver next time so that I can drink.
I loved the whole experience here. Service was great. The food though! I love that they have whole octopus on the menu but small complaint for me is that it wasn’t cooked long enough for the meat to soften. Even cutting the octopus with the scissors was a bit challenging. But everything we ordered was delish! I def would love to come back here but it’s far from where I live otherwise I would be a regular here I think cuz I loveeeee seafood especially octopus and squid and shell fish! And especially having it cooked with Korean flavours! Yummmmm!! Oh also the kimchi wasn’t to my liking it tasted too sour/vinegary almost like they purposely made it to cater more to a western food palette.
If you crave seafood, this place has a lot to offer in Korean style. Great food with nice presentations, attentive and friendly service. Can't say the prices are all affordable, but definitely worth it.
Update 20240412: The clam bibimbap and seafood hotpot are good for the first-timer, but actually some of the other items really hit the spot, especially with soju. The stir-fried hagfish is really good.nnPrevious: Pretty unique in terms of Korean food options in the city. Lots of seafood. The clam bibimbap is quite large and the seafood hotpot is packed with clams, mussels, two abalones, two shrimp and two whelks for the size small. The soup is delicious and has a nice spicy finish.nnWill definitely come again to try their other dishes. Not cheap but 100% worth the experience.
We had the small seafood platter they said it was for 3-4 adults and it had plenty of seafood - clams, mussels, prawns, conch, abalone and topped with crown daisy’s. in addition, our group ordered their clam bibimbap which was a super fun experience wrapping it on seaweed.
